I love the fact that the hotel was right on Lake Bonnie, that was very cool. But the place is privately run by a shady-ish family, I assume. My room was filthy and I think the wife lives there and is the cleaning crew. I reserved a hottub suite to have a nice relaxing soak, which I did not, because the room, specifically the floor, looked like no one vacuumed. I wasn't going to take a chance on the tub. I was totally bummed about that, but the hotel itself is nice, pool and hottub looked clean, I'm sure the free breakfast was wonderful, based on the guy stocking up for it the night before, but not using the hottub was a bummer.

First, this hotel is NOT the Stevens Point Conference Center, which is a Holiday Inn. I had intended to reserve that hotel. But we found this hotel room spacious, clean, and quiet. The breakfast room has poor lighting and the eggs-meat patties were inedible. Some fresh fruit would have been welcome. On our last night, the bathroom toliet was beginning to make gurgling noise and by the time we left in the AM, the toliet was completely clogged. I don't recommend a first floor room because of that. All in all, it's not bad for a one-night stopover while traveling.

We were in town for karate tournament in Stevens Point and this was a great place to stay! Half the price of the venue the tournament was at, breakfast included, plenty of parking. My kids had a great time in the pool and loved the waffles for breakfast. The staff were very friendly and even allowed us use of a meeting room for the kids to practice. We’ll be back next year!

Staff was unfriendly and made us feel like we were intruding. Common areas of the hotel as well as the room were unacceptable. Used bandages and chairs that look as though they have never been cleaned in the pool. Pool temp was VERY cold. The bed skirt was ripped badly. Lamp on the nightstand and the luggage rack were broken in our room. Dust literally caked up on top of headboard, able to write my name in the dust on other surfaces. Stains on the lampshades, bed covering, and walls. Door didn’t work properly had to be forceful to open and needed to slam to close. The outside looks well maintained but don’t let this fool you. We will not return. The male staff are also discriminatory towards women. Would not speak to me but was eager to start a conversation with my husband just moments later. I walked in smiled and said hello and did not receive a response. Other times was not acknowledged. I did not feel comfortable or welcome at all. Breakfast was good.
