Hotel needs a lot of upgrades starting with front desk. Room had painters tape over all the broken items. I heard it was sold hopefully the new owners, Choice I was told, fix it. Great location to MSU
The staff seemed unqualified. Check-in states 3:00 and I was first in line. It took the clerk 30 minutes to check us in. Our information with room keys attached (along with all other guest checking in on the day we arrived) were apparently printed before our arrival and were all scattered on the desk for anyone to see. The line for check-in was out the door. Room was unfinished. Broken bedside table and refridgerator was in the middle of the floor unplugged. Thankfully the bed and shower was clean. The air condition syruggled to make the room barable. Breakfast was choice of cereal or waffle. Coffee was good. The back door was broken and could use better security. The biggest issue is the name of hotel is no longer Starkville Inn and Suites for over 6 months and they have yet to update on travel sites.

Older building that needs updating. Carpet in hallway stained. Room comfortable. It smelled like strong cleaner when you entered room. Breakfast had very little choices.
This place was nice and comfortable. Very convenient breakfast was good the place was very clean the beds were comfortable. I was kinda scared when I read others reviews, so when I got there I was actually really relieved that the reviews I read were false.
Under renovation, which didn’t bother us. Bed was comfortable. No working ice machine. Bathroom floor was dirty. Staff nice enough. We parked close to the side door and entered thru end door. Broken beer bottle, beer cans & soda bottles littered the walkway. Owner or manager needs to clean up around building. Has potential but not there yet.

The best thing about this hotel was staffed. Kimberly at the front desk was very helpful with all my needs. However, the bathroom was dirty, there were no dispensers for shampoo, the pillows were lumpy, the phone did not work, the room keys stopped working during our stay, and the linens were soiled. There were signs at the hotel stating that they were doing renovations. Hopefully this will help.
There was no remote for the TV. No iron or ironing board. The bathroom sink faucet was broken. There was a dirty washcloth on the shower curtain rod. You could tell that someone had shaved in the shower and used the shower wall to tap out excess hair. The shower was gross. The door latch was busted off. The ac unit hardly worked. And the TV had wires hanging everywhere.

Th we property is undergoing renovations but our rooms was clean & close to the university.
cigarette smoke, rusty toilet is dirty and water runs all the time, the hotel is not Starkville Inn the name now is Clarion Pointe Hotel. Problems with the elevator. Poor parking lot lighting outside. The positive thing of the room was the air conditioner worked well.

Let me be clear. Please nite this facility is in the middle of renovations. Its not a fancy hotel but you should know that by the price compared to other area hotels. It is comfortable for a place to rest. It was clean and quiet and that was the most important thing for me. The attendant there when i checked in was so polite and professional. The only thing was the sign out front does not say Starkville Inn so it was a little confusing. But giogle maps will bring you right to the front door.
Hotel is the process of rebranding and signs do not match the name in which the booking was made, leading to confusion in identifying the property on arrival and considerable time wasted looking for the property.

Under renovation but no workers on site during the week. Would not recommend.
Dirty room. Peeling ceiling in bath. Bugs in the room. Dust all over bath fan. Stains in toilet. Hair on the sheets. Hotel looks like an unfinished construction project with no ongoing construction.
Customers was not informof construction before scheduling.
Staff was semi friendly, dressed in sweats with their children on property.
Room has broken hairdryer, bed frame, no iron or hangers. No wifi provide by desk, door keys did not work consistently.
Someone came in room and turned a/c from 70 degress to 76 degrees with only fan when we were out of room. Making room stuffy and adding more smell from construction.
Overall the stay was average to below.
The hotel is under a much needed renovation.
But that’s not my issue.
I biked online through Expedia. Due to some other circumstances, we were unable to stay in the weekend we booked. And though the fine print did say they would not refund our money, the hotel was more than willing to allow us to move our reservations to a different weekend.
But Expedia would not agree to it.
WARNING - I highly recommend booking through a different booking site.
This was an opportunity for Expedia to do the right thing. They chose not to help a customer.
Find a different booking site.
Very musty smelling in the room. Tub was slippery and water came out the faucet and shower head when taking a shower. Couldn’t change it. Shower curtain kept sliding towards the middle of the rod. TP holder broken and not much counter space to put it on. Pillows were HORRIBLE and they didn’t have any decent ones to give us. Said a bunch of workers were sharing the rooms on the 1st floor and had all the pillows. First night loud music in the parking lot for hours. The girl working at the desk had to go out and ask them to turn it down; they didn’t and she ended up calling the cops. They made them leave and said they were drinking. We were there for MSU graduation. Won’t choose this hotel again.
