Vacations Close To Standing Bear Museum and Education Center

The first initial listing of the property states that there is ample parking. I am thinking that given it’s location there would be a parking garage attached to the property. NO! There is valet parking of 34$ that parks your vehicle a 1/4 mile away in some lot. There is a parking garage a half block away though and that was 16$ for the night. Our room smelled like weed. Told the front desk they were willing to move us. My wife was already in bed. I stated I just wanted you aware so we didn’t get charged a cleaning fee. Cool elevators.

So disappointed in this hotel. We came here because of the outside waterpark and we were completely mis informed the outside is closed during the week. They claim it was in their website but that’s complete FALSE, It wasn’t. Secondly, the indoor water park is disgusting. I’m actually shocked it’s not shut down by the sheer about of BLACK MOLD everywhere. I’m not exaggerating this either, the concrete is caked with it everywhere. I will not come back to this resort ever.

Cute little quaint hotel, very retro. That’s why we picked the place cause it was quirky and different. I would suggest another mirror in the bathroom to help get ready some sort of funky vintage one. Love the swings outside the office; my best friend and I hung out there and talked for an hour or so in the cool evening. I would suggest that the front office be open 7 to 11 every day instead of not opening till 11 and closing at 9. Just in case somebody really needed something. Great access to downtown Oklahoma City, ate at a great little diner for breakfast Sunday morning and we were only about five minutes away from the Civic Center because we went to see a play that night. Air-conditioning was kind of quirky. We couldn’t really figure it out. It doesn’t blow very hard even at 62° and it was hot. It was very clean and once they can finish the construction it’s a perfect little hotel to stay in if you’re coming to the Oklahoma City area and wanna be direct access to pretty much everything downtown in Midtown.done

The staff is wonderful.. Safe area.
