I really like the property overall and have been staying there for years, super nice staff. Unfortunately the hotel is nearing time for a remodel specifically the rooms (carpet, paint, wallpaper) parking garage can use some love too but is certainly manageable.

Overall nice clean appearance. In the room there needs to be electrical outlet access at the bed stands. For CPAP for example. Very helpful and courteous front desk staff. The AM coffee barista was not outgoing or friendly. Needs to be placed in a different position. Appreciated the free Christmas evening buffet.

I stayed there twice now, for one night the first time, then four nights. Staff were very friendly and the restaurant inside the hotel was great. It was very quiet and I like the location. My room was tidy and had no issues overall. When I stayed for a few nights, my room was not cleaned at all. I had garbage piling up and it was pretty gross. The shower had no curtain (but an opening where a door/curtain should be), so I had to try really hard to shower without getting the floor wet. Seems like a lot of stuff there is not well-maintained - I found a broken hair dryer in one of the bathroom drawers, for example. The price was still reasonable, though, and I would stay again.

Rooms are clean, and the bed is very comfortable. The hallways are shabby, with periodic cuts in the wall paper, which looks like some type of analysis was done. It was disappointing to have to pay $25 per night to park.

Everyone and everything was amazing from start to finish! They allowed us to check in a few minutes early, upgraded our room to a better suit and view for our first couples getaway weekend! The hotel was spotless and there was always someone cleaning or there to answer questions we had! We swung by the bar a few times throughout the night, before and after the comedy show we were attending around the corner, the food (we got the arancini balls) and drinks (we ordered a proper old fashioned that was made to perfection and wine) were not only amazing fresh and perfect, but the bar tender was so fun and hilarious! He made great conversation, and was always ready to attend to us before we even noticed our drinks were getting Low! Everyone was so professional and warm and welcoming! We definitely love the privacy and security of the building and going up to our room with having to tap your room key to use the elevator! It made me feel safer being so far from home! The snacks and desserts we got at the cafe were so good too! We got the cookie dough cake slice to share and that was the perfect way to end our night! We will definitely be staying at the Stamford Hotel anytime we come back to visit the area! Thank you to the team for making every step easy and perfect for our first getaway together!

This was my 3rd stay at the Stamford Hiotel and each time has been functional and satisfying. it is walking distance to a myriad of restaurants, the rooms and my suite was large and clean, and the staff goes out of their way to eensure you have everything you need for a great stay. Having a reasonable parking garage attached to the hotel is a huge plus. I'll be back!

Ari at the reception desk was 5 STARS! I talked to her by phone, probably 6 months ahead of our arrival, as I had plenty of questions regarding the location, and our planned attendance of the Ryder Cup in NY. She was spot on then, and made it a point to introduce herself upon our arrival. Also, our bartender in the restaurant was extremely helpful with recommendations and service. The food was also great, as we had dinner there twice.

The room was clean, especially the bedding and towels. While all bathroom surfaces were clean, there was a funky smell emanating from... the sink drain? As it took a while to drain, I suspect the drain needs a good cleaning out. We couldn't locate the hair dryer but did not contact the front desk or housekeeping as we were there for just an overnight. The room was quiet - no outside noise or sound from other rooms. Part of the reason could be that the fan on the heating system muffled any outside noises. The front desk staff was efficient. Yes, the room was a little worn but was perfectly clean and comfortable; we appreciated the large desk with chair and the sitting/reading chair. We'd stay again depending on the price.

The hotel worked well for a night but I wouldn't want to spend an extended stay here due to the quality of the rooms. The lobby is nice, but the hallways and rooms themselves are very outdated and have a lot of visible wear and tear. The room itself however was clean. The front desk staff were amazing with great recommendations which bumped up my rating.

This hotel was a perfect stop for us on our way to Boston coming from North Carolina. We were able to get on the other side of NYC to beat traffic the next day. The location is within walking distance to downtown with lots of options for food and drinks.

Unfortunately my hotel room was dirty, including stains on the bedding and towels, and old food left behind in the room. The hotel front desk staff was very kind upon check-in, and the location was convenient, but due to the uncleanliness, I will not be staying here again if I am in there area.
