What a wonderful hotel. We were pleasantly greeted on arrival by the owners. The hotel is full of character and is undergoing renovations. The location is great with wonderful views of the ocean. Sunday brunch was excellent.

The room was very clean and had great amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly. The space is beautiful and charming. Bartender and Restaurant staff were exceptional and the food was amazing. My only piece of feedback would be to add some lounge chairs near the pool. But next time I come back to St Thomas there is no doubt I’m staying at Hotel 1829!

If you like old historic hotels. This one hits the Mark. Damaged by the last hurricanes the restoration in progress is amazing hats off to the owners for their courage and rebuilding this place

Charming, one of a kind hotel

I came for a night and extended my stay. The owners are sweet and helpful. I checked in early and checked out late. They called and arranged for a taxi upon my departure. I booked the smallest room and it was much larger than I expected. The rainfall shower was a dream after being on a sailboat for a week. There is a small fridge in the room, water bottles, and an electric pot for heating water for coffee. There are also luxurious robes and fluffy towels. The bed is comfortable and the air conditioner is new and efficient. I put the rooftop pool to good use and the views are amazing. I was traveling alone and I felt very safe. Amazing shopping is right around the corner. I found a market within walking distance and plenty of restaurants. I walked to the hotel from the ferry and took a short taxi ride to the airport. I plan to return for a longer visit 😎
