Clean, bed very comfortable, super friendly staff, beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach towels free for customers to use. Room stocked with cookware, toaster, flatware, and dishes/cups. I had everything I needed if I didn’t go out to eat. The only reason I dropped it by one star is the light at night from the outside. The outside area is well lit at night which is good, but the curtains inside are short and light came in. Possibly a blackout shade along with the bkackout curtains would do the job. So if you are sensitive to light at night , bring an eye mask.

An absolute gem. A few things we enjoyed about this motel: large rooms, nicely decorated, very well stocked, comfortable beds and chairs, clean, great pool and pool area, outdoor grills and seating areas, free use of towels, beach chairs, umbrellas and rafts, friendly and helpful staff, pedestrian walkway in front of motel to cross the street and many restaurants nearby,

What a wonderful stay! Beautiful room and pool area! So nice to be able to borrow floats, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels and toys! Wonderful and helpful staff! Across the street from Beautiful beach! Definitely will be our go to next time we are in the area!!! Just EXCELLENT!!!

The area suffered a year prior a devastating hurricane which severely brought extreme flooding. The "Island House " managed to regroup and rebuild the facility while maintaining its appeal and accommodations to their customers and visitors. I admire the owners for their resilience and determination while it restored the "resort's" luster and beautiful appeal to the area. Great workmanship and results. Love the location and ease to the beach area along with the quaint shops and walk able breakfast restaurant. Thank you for a pleasant stay and your hospitality. The Marshes

Wonderful hotel

The hotel was really nice. The rooms are large and clean with a kitchenette. The pool is really nice and it’s in the middle of the hotel with lots of foliage around. I stayed for two days and I loved it!

Fantastic little gem

This place feels like a hidden gem! It's extremely clean, the pool was a nice temperature, the room was very big. Would happily go back there if I'm looking to stay in the area again.

This was a pleasant surprise - while this is an older property, it is very well maintained. The staff is very friendly and I could tell the hotel is well-managed. We were very happy with our room and it was quite spacious. If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely stay again.

Exceeds expectation

Great value for the location! It’s a quaint hotel with a beautiful pool area to lounge by while enjoying the sun. A short walk to great food, some shopping and the beach. The newly renovated room I stayed in was clean and quiet. It was better than I could have expected and would definitely stay there again.

We had the absolute best time at Island House Hotel and can’t wait to come back. Staff was incredibly friendly and always happy to answer questions about anything. They have so many pool toys, beach toys, chairs towels etc. Our room was really spacious, recently renovated very tastefully and the beds were really comfortable. We really wish we could have stayed for more then 3 nights but we will definitely be back for longer next time.

Hidden gem!

This little hotel is amazing! Rooms are huge! Pool is beautiful and has that tropical feel... lots of pool toys and floats to use. They have two beautiful outdoor kitchens you can reserve at no charge to use the grill. The staff is amazing and friendly! The walk to the beach is super easy! Only a block away and the drivers in the area all stop before you ever even get to press the button to cross the road...There just isnt one negative thing I could say about this hotel. Other hotels should take notice and learn from this hotel how to get it right!
