Vacations Close To St. Martin's Church

Standard busy airport hotel, good for one night, acceptable room rate. Funny policy: if you want to grab a coffee on the go, it is only free between 4 and 6 am, afterwards you have to pay. For being almost in the middle of nowhere, parking is expensive at 19 EUR/night, so are drinks from the vending machine (can of Coke 4.25 EUR!!). They certainly make use of being located at the end of the runways where there are no other shops. Shuttle bus is also outrageously expensive at 10 EUR/person and trip. There is a public bus for the same route, much cheaper. Any other airport hotel I have been to on my travels had free busses from the airport terminal, btw. When we got to our room, the key card didn't work as it was coded incorrectly, so I had to go back to front desk. Later, I had to fix the stopper in the sink, as it was pushed all the way down and the sink wouldn't drain. At that point I was not willing to deal with front desk again and crawled under the sink to fix it myself. Overall, acceptable if you have an early flight, just come prepared to not expose yourself to the money grab.

First the good. The staff are lovely the room was large and everywhere was clean. Breakfast had a wide choice of average quality foods. But the bad cannot make up for the good points. The location is awful. Handy for the station but to get to town you have to through the horrible local streets full of kebab shops, shisha bars, strip clubs and porn shops etc. The hotel does not have a restaurant so unless you want to eat kebabs every night ( menus were in German and Arabic) you get a depressing walk to town. Ignore the photos of the courtyard with seating, it’s a blank concrete space hemmed in on 4 sides by hotel and surrounding buildings without anywhere to sit. No matter how nice the staff are or how clean the place is its location makes this a non starter.

Great hotel and great staff.

No one there to help us with our luggage. When the face towels came in, there were dead flowers on the tray along with it our room smelled like smoke.

Hotel was great. Easy access from main road. Easy and accessible parking, sbahn station close by. Supermarket 5 mins walk. Friendly & helpful staff. Only slightly odd thing is they only clean your room after 4 nights unless you request a room clean the day before. I’ve never seen this in a hotel before.
