A lot to say about this property
We selected it because it was an in-between location for our activities: downtown StL and Six Flags. Lots of historic architecture for miles in each direction, which I liked. A bit of a trip to I-44 and I-64, took probably 10 minutes one way, the only drawback to its geographic location. BUT lots of local restaurants located in that travel corridor, which was good.
The good: the property was functional with plenty of bed space. Table space was ample and versatile; table seating and couches throughout the house was comfortable. The couches folded down and could be used as beds--you could conceivably sleep a dozen people in this house! Kitchen had an array of utensils and dishes: Pots and pans, plates, bowls, silverware, etc.
The not so good: However, we woke each morning congested and speculated that, based on the strong musty smell, that there might be a mold problem--this might originate from what appeared to be water damage in the corner of the kitchen ceiling which is below the upstairs bathroom or it may be from whatever caused the pool of water to form in one of the bedrooms after a heavy rainfall our final night. Congestion issue improved but not eliminated by cleaning the blades of the ceiling fans, which were caked with enough dust to do an archaeological dig. Additionally, outside trash bin was full; had we been advised of when trash pickup day was, we would have put it out by the curb, but that's on us as we never asked.
