The outer room with table and loveseat was nice. The beds comfortable the shower and bath nice. I was not expecting an extra $24 casino fee added. Nor that the pool closed 5 years ago. Both errors r supposedly some other websites fault for not updating. The real problem is there was no breakfast supplied and there r not enough restaurants close enough to make up for it. My walking GPS kept me going in circles. Some of the staff were amazing and some were quite the opposite. No mediocre employees. The casino smelled like aged cigarette smoke. I would avoid staying there again.

The proximity to the Dome was important to us in this trip and HotelLumiere was perfect. It's in a good spot in downtown St. Louis, making it easy to just walk around the city and not need a car so our car pretty much stayed in the parking lot the entire trip. The room was nice and spacious---the rate was worth it. The bathroom was also nicely updated. We felt comfortable enough. I am only taking off one star since the room did not have a microwave. It had a refrigerator, but not a microwave. It would have been nice to have it to heat up food/leftovers instead we had to eat cold leftovers. Additionally, I did not always feel the front staff was the friendliest or most welcoming....could be a little more cheerful. Especially coming from the South, I'm used to Southern hospitality and friendliness an approaching the front desk sometimes seemed like I was bothering them---at least that was the vibe I got.

This hotel is an old Embassy Suites. It does not appear to have been updated. It is very dark. There was no cleaning service for our two night stay…no clean towels provided etc. There were no amenities unless you consider the walk way to the casino area. During our stay there was no where to get breakfast except the Starbucks. We waited at check in for someone to come out from the back. No early check in was offered, was told check in was at 4 however others were offered early check in for 15.00. Check in staff was average. We chose this hotel due to its proximity to the Dome but next time I would look for different hotel in walking distance. The staff this morning were very welcoming and kind and waiting for guests to check out.

Location near the Casino and Arch is nice, but the room was very dirty. Hair all over the bathroom walls like when you tap out a razor, stains on the floor and furniture. Room safe was smashed up and the control panel torn off. Stayed here in 2019 and it was nice so that's why I chose it again. But the quality has gone down, the price has gone up, and with the Resort Fee they still charge, it's more expensive than is worth it for the quality. Staff were very nice though and obviously wanted to help, so that was good.

Stayed here recently and had a great experience. The rooms were clean and the hotel has really nice decor throughout. There’s a big commons area with a bar and plenty of seating, which makes it a great place to relax or meet up with people. The casino on site is a fun bonus, and it’s convenient having several food options right in the hotel including Starbucks, Morton’s Steakhouse, and a couple grab-and-go spots. The location is also excellent—right across from the Dome at America’s Center—so it’s perfect if you’re in town for an event. Overall a comfortable stay in a really convenient spot.

We stay specifically for the convenient proximity to The Dome. The parking is convenient and the indoor walkway to the dome is the way to go, especially during winter/early spring. Unfortunately, you walk thru/past the casino area so the smoke smell is sometimes lingering but they do a good job at air purifying and it’s not horrible. Worth it, for the climate controlled walk to events when we go.

TLDR: it was clean and safe. Not luxurious but not a Motel 6. Buy hobo stab insurance if you travel off property. Pros- We didn’t have the same experiences with dirty rooms or terrible staff. Our staff was pleasant, easy to deal with and our room was clean, orderly, and honestly a pleasant surprise from the horrible reviews we had seen. Security on premise was tight but not intrusive. Cons-The hot tub was out of service during our stay, this was not the quality we expected from a Caesar’s property, and there was a distinct feeling you could get shot or stabbed the moment you stepped off property. The casino could best be described as “mid” and never once did we see at slot attendant. Apparently jackpots aren’t a thing there. Conclusion: driving up we thought the hotel might be the worst part of this trip after reading the reviews. It wasn’t. It’s an older hotel and the amenities are extremely lacking given it’s a casars property and the name makes it sound French luxurious but it was acceptable for the price point. If you travel off property you might as well book for Sudan next because clearly you have a death wish.

Thermometer was broke in our room but maintenance fixed it within mins. Arrived for check-in a little early (3:37pm) and was charged a$15 fee per policy. Never had that type of fee at any other hotels but wasn't hanging around in the lobby for another 25mins after traveling all day. I would stay here again as the casino is just a short walk as well as the Dome at America's Center. Room was decent for the price and location.
