This hotel had a very elegant modern vibe while encapsulating the big city bustle, it was very convenient to the stadiums, the arch and the river. The only downfall which is not their fault is the dilapidated hotel right across the street, definitely an eyesore but hopefully the city will have an amazing opportunity to revitalize that area! But back to this idea hotel, it was very clean and comfortable!

The staff was incredible! I did the Hilton virtual key because my flight got in around midnight and when I got up to my room my door was wide open. The staff handled it so kindly, and they even sent the security guard up to my room with me while moving me to a new one. Both were so kind and handled the situation perfectly. I will say the rooms are nice but the bed and pillows are awful. I’m not too picky when it comes to that stuff but my neck is still pretty tweaked. Otherwise great staff great property!

Our stay at the Pennywell was great! We arrived before checkout but we were able to leave our bags at the front desk so we could explore. We were in town for Opening Day and the hotel was very close to the stadium, which was great. It is also super close to the Arch as well. Lots of food options around the hotel to check out. Room was clean and well kept. Although, our view was less than desirable as our window faced a brick wall but, we spent most of our time in St. Louis out and about. But, if thats important to you, you might want to request a specific room. Overall, great stay and I'd stay again if we went back to St. Louis!

The staff was courteous and helpful. The hotel and room were very clean. When we booked the room, we assumed breakfast was included (it wasn't) and the breakfast offered was pricey. Other than that, it was a great stay.

The staff were incredibly kind and friendly. The room left a lot to be desired. A half-used roll of toilet paper, an empty tissue box, and a spent conditioner container that was never refilled were disappointing, as was having to spend 30 minutes scanning for channels because no one had bothered to set the television up properly. Very first world problems, but we expected more from Hilton. Will likely choose competitors in the future, but you hired great people at your front desk and restaurant staff. They should be commended. I have no doubt the cleaning staff are bound by corporate penny pinchers ruining the kind of experience excellence that was the norm in our parents’ day.

The only major drawback occurred over the weekend when one of the main elevators went out of service. While mechanical issues are understandable, the lack of communication was frustrating. There was no signage posted at the elevator banks to alert guests or direct them to the service stairs/alternative lifts. This led to a lot of confusion and long wait times in the lobby, which took away from the otherwise seamless "vibe" of the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel for its excellent location and superb staff. If they can improve their internal communication and guest signage during maintenance issues, it would easily be a five-star stay.
