Vacations Close To St. Joseph Lighthouse

My first impression wasn't good because there's an overpowering smell from the many plug-in deodorizers all over the hotel - lobby, guest rooms, hallways. The t.v. in the room wouldn't turn on so the manager had to come up and plug things in correctly. Apparently, they have a problem with kids plugging their game devices in and then not reconnecting the t.v. correctly before they leave. There are no bars or hooks in the bathroom to hang your towels. The bathroom needs a shower gel dispenser. One small disk of soap for both hands and showering is not enough. The window blind only offers either complete darkness or no privacy at all. The window needs a sheer curtain. There were no disinfecting wipes in the dispenser in the exercise room. The stairwells were in desperate need of vacuuming. There was a towel tucked into a door leading outside so that anyone could enter which is a security risk. I appreciate the attempt at conserving electricity by installing the auto sensor switch as you enter the guest room, but if you wake up in the middle of the night and want to turn the t.v. on for awhile you have to get up, walk to the door and switch on the lights (which can be blinding when you've been asleep for awhile.) The shower is in need of renovation - either paint or tile the walls as they look very bad. The bed was comfortable and the hotel location was convenient.

A beautiful hotel, with amazing views, right on the water! The staff was very friendly and there's plenty to do within walking distance. I would highly recommend.

It was ok

Room was clean and tidy. Staff was attentive to our needs. We tried breakfast on our first morning. It was delicious. Parking was good. Kinda old but it was safe. Drive to the city was usually traffic but the drive was pretty. We always drove by the water.

Everything was great as always! And whatever the fragrance is that's used in the lobby smells amazing!

The hotel is immaculate. Room was so nice. First hotel that I could stream movie apps from my phone. Really great for off times. Best hotel I’ve stayed at.
