Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The cottage is cute, clean, and surprisingly spacious. It had the amenities we needed, and the air conditioning worked well in the main bedrooms. Ceiling fans throughout the house also helped keep the space comfortable.
One thing to note is that the listing photos show a bathtub, but the bathroom actually has a stand-up shower. Also, the shower water pressure is quite low. If you turn the AC off and leave windows or doors open, be prepared for insects and other small critters, which is fairly common in the area.
The property has a very secure locking system. The front gate must be locked with a key and bolt each time you enter or leave. While it's understandable for safety, it can be a bit inconvenient if you're coming and going frequently or are in a hurry.
We weren't able to get the gate open to park inside the property, so we parked on the street without any issues.
The area is very quiet, and there isn't much interaction with the host unless you reach out. Michael is friendly, and although he seems busy, he was helpful when needed. His mother is also available on-site and by phone if you have questions.
I recommend planning ahead for transportation, as there isn't much guidance provided about local attractions or getting around. Be sure to do a little research before arriving.
