Super clean rooms and very well maintained property. Friendly, friendly staff and the flowers and gardens are pleasing. This is an older motel with lots of character, but it is up to modern-day standards.

The Sunset motel is quaint and clean. The rooms are small, but has everything you need. The only problem we had is it's location. It's on the way to the Mackinac Bridge so we were subject to loud truck traffic all night. I sleep with ear plugs and it was still loud. If the noise doesn't bother you, then it was a very nice place to stay. Gardens were amazing!!

Very nice rooms. Clean, quiet. I booked a room for 2 with 2 queen beds and was pleasantly surprised that the 2 beds were in separate rooms, which was nice as I was traveling with my son , so we had our own space. Comfy beds, large screen tv, and quiet. Did I mention the quiet? It was lovely. The young man that checked us in was really nice. Told us the best spot for the best view of the bridge which at night was spectacular! Would highly recommend the Sunset Motel!!

Beautifully remodeled and maintained. The property had beautiful flowers everywhere. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Best hotel of 4 we stayed at on our honeymoon. Definitely would return. Great place at a very good price.

This is not a 5 star hotel. It is a small motel but it was immaculately clean and well maintained. The room was big enough but on the smaller side, and had a TV, fridge, coffee maker etc. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was not cramped. The staff was very friendly and check out was quick and easy. The only complaint is that parking was a little tight. We would definitely stay here again.

The flowers around the property is absolutely unbelievable. I really liked the room. It is refreshing to stay at a 'mom & pop' motel that is reasonably priced. Very clean. You'll like the owner. I would definitely stay there again.

No issue with Sunset Motel. Clean and staff were excellent. My issue was booking with third party Expedia. We has a issue and had to leave after only one night, because we used Expedia instead of calling and booking with the Sunset Motel direct we paid for two night and only was able to stay one night. No credit issue for the second night?
