We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was perfect for our needs and very clean.
We would see Hannah every morning at the front desk when we would get our morning coffee. She was friendly and helpful.
We would definitely recommend Cedars Motel.
We plan on staying here again in the future.
The location was ideal for our trip. Alex and Hannah could not have been more helpful and friendly. The room was clean and well equipped and only 2 miles from the casino.
Super fun, quaint roadside motel, cute decor, comfy beds, impeccably clean bathroom.
Very friendly young owners who light a fire every night and make s’mores…
We had a wonderful time!
The couple that owns and runs the motel are both super friendly and VERY knowledgeable about the area. Rooms and super quiet and quaint. Will stay again if we are ever in the area!
We got in late and the staff were accommodating for the late check in. The rooms were spotless and smelled great. Mattresses and pillows were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly at breakfast and knew the area well. We would love to come back for one of the nightly fires with s’mores. The only down side was that we were in room 11, which was the closest to the road and traffic was a little loud, but not bad enough to ruin our time!
We loved staying at the Cedars for the night. It is such a cozy setting & the fire and s’mores were great for getting outside at the end of the day. The only thing that I’d recommend is getting some merch as we definitely would have purchased some!
A wonderful young couple making a go of owning a tiny, knotty pine resort in Michigan’s upper peninsula. It’s quiet, quaint and personal in a great location. They were honest about on going updates and very kind. We will be staying again!
Everything was clean and brand new. The grounds were beautiful and the owner was so welcoming. They had a bonfire going when we arrived and told us about different events happening in the area.

Liked: Property conditions & facilities
The property was old but very very clean. The receptionist was friendly and extremely helpful. Everything was great for the price we paid, especially for Memorial Day week-end.
This was our second visit to Cedars Motel and it was great just as the first visit! Hannah and Alex are both very welcoming and friendly! Very helpful with answering questions about the area and Mackinac Island and things to do. The rooms are clean and well maintained, and they have a common area for making a bonfire and sitting around. Also provide continental breakfast! Definitely will continue booking a stay with Cedars!
Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable, enhanced by the quaint atmosphere, clean rooms, and friendly owners/staff. It was clear they wanted their guests to feel at home. The older building does call for adjustments for handicapped guests, but you can make it work as long as you aren't confined exclusively to a wheelchair.
The Cedars Motel is a quaint little roadside motel reminiscent of the 1960’s that is very well operated and maintained by young new owners Alex & Hannah. They’re doing a great job! The rooms are very clean, quiet and comfortable. The continental breakfast was a bit weak on flavor and variety but otherwise, we had a terrific stay.
This is an old fashioned motel. Family owned and boutique.
The rooms have an up north cottage feel. Very well kept, very clean. Everything old is new again vib. Close to St. Ignace and the ferry docks. A bit north of town and quiet.
