Our room was comfortable. We were originally assigned a 2nd floor room but because of our amount of luggage traveling from Florida and a family member with CP we asked for a first floor. They worked to accommodate us and were very kind about doing it. The room was clean, bathroom clean, breakfast good and staff very helpful. Beds were very comfortable as well

Your 2nd floor balcony is a shared balcony with the whole floor but the only access is through your room. Room looked clean, easy access from the bridge and the fire pit was a nice perk when arriving later in the evening. A/C worked well too.

The rooms were very clean and spacious. Bed very comfortable. The hot tub felt like we were getting drowning in chemical fumes… the whole pool area honestly just felt stuffy. What started as an overnight stopover ended up being a very enjoyable 5 day stay. The room we chose, a pet friendly one, had been completely remodeled, all modernized and immaculate. The grounds are well kept and plenty of room to walk our dog. The staff was courteous and pleasant and they have a very nice breakfast. We are budget conscious as seniors, so we were very pleased with the price. It's an extra $30 for the dog but we'll worth it. St Ignace was fun to explore while staying there. The owners are working hard to update and remodel. We'll be back!

We stayed here over the Fourth of July weekend while visiting St. Ignace and Mackinac Island. Considering the holiday, the price was reasonable. The staff was the highlight of our stay. They were friendly, helpful, and waited for us when we arrived around 2 a.m. Communication through the Expedia app was excellent since the room phone wasn't connected. Housekeeping made the bed daily, and clean towels were provided whenever requested. The room had a few cleanliness issues. The curtain had fallen off its hooks when we arrived, so I rehung it myself. We noticed dust on the headboard, inside the dresser drawers, and on the lampshades. The bathroom could have been cleaned more thoroughly, and we found a few ants and spiders behind the bathroom door and under the sink. The bed sheets also felt very thin compared to what you'd expect at most hotels. The A/C worked great, the shower had excellent water pressure, parking was convenient, and the hotel was fairly quiet. Breakfast was disappointing. It included toast, bagels, fruit, cereal, sausage patties, pancakes, waffles, coffee, juice, milk, and water, but no eggs or other hot options. The dining area also had dead flies on the window sill and dust in the corners. Overall, the staff made a great impression, but better cleanliness and an improved breakfast would make this a much better stay.

I drove into town with an “injured” car window and no one in town open to help, but upon checking in, the owner of Cedar Hill Lodge eased my mind and had a plan to at least prevent the coming rain from getting in overnight. The care and concern for not interrupting my trip due to unforeseen circumstances was beyond helpful and gave me the confidence that I could continue on to Mackinac Island for the day with no worries- he was quick to help me figure out where to go the next morning for service and how to navigate getting from there to the ferry and back to the lodge when we returned. Also, you can tell that the whole place is in the middle of a complete renovation but still keeping the character of the motor lodge of years gone past. The carpets and furniture were new and the beds comfortable. Plenty of parking and a shuttle to the ferry and back. Also, despite being there at the beginning of the biggest weekend of the year (local car show), it was quiet at night. Would stay here again.

My room smelled like airplane glue, i had a headache for 2 days afterwards. The balcony and sliding patio door had no screen, so i could not open and air out the room. Whoever was recently working in the room seemed to have it open as there were many mosquitos in the room. Breakfast was over run , nowhere to sit, on replenishment, i scooped up some food, the replenished egg and sausage were cold - i went to mcdonalds. the room is a good size, they are in the middle of renovations, the bathroom was nice, the tv is laughable at 32", for a newly renovated room that is kinda funny. the beds were comfy and i slept well with the in room fan/ac unit on to try and lesson the overpower glue smell to some extent, i can't see how someone can rent a room out in this condition in good conscience.
