The hotels.com page and the company's personal webpage are very misleading. I wasn't given an option of room type when I booked. The photos on their website show cabins with bathrooms. No where on the website does is say that there are two different cabin types and one type doesn't have a bathroom, and you have to leave to go use a communal bathroom. I booked with the understanding that I would have a cabin with a bathroom. I really wanted to love this place, as I think the concept is great, but I was very disappointed. I flew in from SF into Las Vegas, and then drove the 2+ hours to get there. I grabbed dinner first, as there is NOTHING around the lodge (which is fine), but I hadn't received the email letting me know any information prior to my arrival until 6pm the day of my arrival. This is when I found out about the bathroom situation. I have Crohns disease, so if I had known this in advance, I probably wouldn't have booked. I spoke directly with the owner about my issues, and he was very defensive. Not apologetic and said, "if I had known the day of, I would have allowed you to cancel so that we could have rebooked". I am sorry, but what was I supposed to do? I didn't get the email until 6pm, at that point I was exhausted from traveling all day, and what if you weren't able to rebook? Would you have still charged me and I would have been sleeping in my car? I can understand the appeal, but very misleading and disappointing discussions after.
