Very clean large rooms, friendly staff, and convenient restaurant/bar attached. Only downside was we did have a noisy room next door to us that meant we didn't get much sleep the first night, so walls are quite thin!

The property is absolutely pristine, beautifully decorated and the rooms are very ample a comfortable. The food is class A and their customer service is second to none. Thank you ! I will definitely recommend.

A short weekend break for our anniversary to this lovely hotel. Staff were friendly and polite, rooms were beautiful and clean. Would fully recommend a stay and if not just for dinner if an evening. Only note is the location on Expedia is incorrect, hotel is actually in London Apprentice, just outside St Austell, and not in St Austell itself.

The room was very clean and very relaxing. The food in the restaurant was good quality but service was slow as there was only 1 waitress.

Very good

super clean, spacious room and very friendly staff. Hotel looks newly refurnished and we have a pleasant stay in this hotel and very comfortable. Breakfast are also v delicious. Will definitely stay again. The only area for improvement is the toilet floor which required better cleaning as there are some stains on the floor.

The hotel was new, clean and very welcoming. However the view from the bedroom window left a lot to be desired. Breakfast would have benefitted from the addition of fresh fruit and additional types of bread not just Sourdough.

Beautifully appointed hotel. Clearly great thought, care and attention has been given to the layout and contents of the bedrooms. Also, the evening meal and breakfast options were really excellent and very generously portioned! The staff we encountered were extremely friendly and most helpful. Our young waitress (red hair and very long eye-lashes!) was exceptionally so and deserves a medal for coping so well both in the evening and the morning services, given how short staffed they were.

Beautiful Room and Breakfasts to die for.

We arrived at the Kingswood in London Apprentice to be greeted by Amanda who explained everything we needed to know and showed us to our room. The room was beautiful and clean looking brand new . The bed was so comfortable and the rain shower amazing. It's a short drive to a large Asda and a McDonald's and KFC which we had on the first night. We went for breakfast and I have to say one of the best breakfasts I have ever had..the full English and I couldn't eat it all. Overall an excellent stay and a good base to visit many sights in Cornwall...also the hotel is dog friendly which is always a plus for us.

Outstanding!

Absolutely amazing place to stay. From the minute we checked in we were made to feel welcome. Lovely lady on reception you are an absolute credit to the place and never stopped as you were so busy. Room was spotless ( Acorn), very comfy bed , air con just what we needed in the very hot weather. We dined in the restaurant and the food was outstanding again the staff were great. Nothing was too much trouble. Had a great nights sleep. Amazing breakfast cooked fresh, plenty of it again staff were spot on. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be returning when we are back in the area.

Lovely room, super comfy bed and bedding, big smart tv, new amenities, attention to detail, superb food (some of the best I have had), and a big shout out to Hollie and Tamsyn who were absolutely lovely. A couple of things that could be added are flannels (there were only large towels), a landline in the rooms (since no phone signal there, though they are happy to let you use their landline for taxis etc), and quiet-closing doors and some carpet/rugs in the hallway outside the bedrooms to dampen the noise of people walking. There was one thing that sadly ruined our otherwise lovely stay. There was no sign in the room or on reception to say what time checkout was, and nobody mentioned it to us checking in, so we assumed they were fairly flexible about it as long as we didn’t stay past midday for example. At 11.45am when we were checking out, they gave us a fine of £20, saying checkout was at 11am. A £20 fine for 45 minutes is insane. They said there are papers in the rooms saying about checkout but I explained we did not have one. I have never been fined for something like this before. It is just a shame to ruin a stay for this. Some large resorts may charge £20 to checkout a few hours late, but for 45 minutes, when this was not displayed anywhere?
