Super friendly staff made us feel very welcome , great food and accommodation
Room was exactly what we needed. Spacious and clean although could do with a new carpet and some damp removal in the bathroom. Great location - very close to the Eden Project. Friendly staff at the bar.
The Bugle Inn is the oldest building in the area.
We had our evening meal in the bar, the food was lovely, good portions size, nicely presented.
We had a good night's sleep, the beds were comfy, the shower was hot. We did find a cobweb.
Breakfast was a full cornish and was lovely.

Good as a pub. Noisy in bedroom from music in bar below until closing time. Good breakfast, friendly staff. Outside area (used predominantly for smoking) disgusting, unswept, uncleaned for the 4 days there. No food on a monday evening
Great customer service but rooms in need of a revi
Mixed views, the team in the evening were really welcoming and tried really hard, really lovely to deal with. Locals really friendly. The breakfasts were outstanding as was the evening meal for “pub grub” the accommodation wasn’t good, the room dirty, sliding toilet door didn’t work, you had to have it off runners to close. Mixed messages as were told by evening staff could watch England game at pub, then when asked in morning were told pub would be closed. People helpful in an alternative but disappointing we weren’t given correct information. So a tricky one, for £140 a night and breakfast it was ok, but the rooms need a real deep clean and the shower/bathroom a refurb tbh. But people really helpful and lovely and I appreciate how hard it must be to run a pub at the moment.
A very comfortable stay at this pub with everything on hand. Convenient location set in a village near the A30 which makes it an ideal location for exploring Cornwall’s wonderful coastline. Great food and very welcoming staff

Our stay at the Bugle hotel
The Bugle hotel was a very nice place to stay as a base to discover lovely Cornwall . The room was basic and a little dated but it was ok. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was a real treat.
Did not stay. Pub old. Dirty and no food. Money taken on entry. Too late to discuss money taken
Room awful. Grimy. Not what we expected from photos. Alot if artistic used here.
Fighting for refund of 380.00 as literally there 5 mins
The guy who was behind the bar was fine but the land lady oh dear well what can I say drunk rude and totally inappropriate in her comments I was made to feel very uneasy
I advised I would be down for breakfast at 7 and told it was to early and then the room was not the cleanest

The staff we friendly, dinner was great and breakfast service was great.
The room was a little noisy until 11PM but then went quiet once the pub closed.
Car parking has limited spaces.
Overall we had a great stay and would definitely go back.
The room was very clean and tidy. The owner is in the process of updating the premises. Breakfast was lovely, very good choice and presented beautifully.

It was fine. The pool was drained so couldn't be used. Air con was good, room reasonably spacious. Handy for restaurants and Walmart

We stayed with you whilst visiting our daughter as she has recently moved to Bugle. The pub is on a busy main road, but the room was well screened from the traffic noise. Nicely appointed and clean room room if a little small with squeaky beds! It didn't detract from our one night stay. The food was excellent - typical pub fare, using good ingredients. Helpful and pleasant staff enhanced the stay. Thanks to you all.
Excellent, fuss free check in, great room, great food and drink. Unfortunately there were a couple of guests who appeared to like shouting to each other on the landing and slamming the doors until about 2.00am.
Despite being told it was an inclusive breakfast, the pub was locked up tighter than a drum with no sign of anyone until we left at 9.30am.
We stayed here for 3 nights as a base to explore some of Cornwall. We had a good size room with a big bathroom although the shower could be better.
Bed was comfortable ,plenty of tea and coffee in room.
Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked to order.
We ate in the pub on two nights and again the food was excellent with big portions and reasonably priced.
A very special mention to all of the staff who made us feel very welcome and were all extremely pleasant.
The only thing that was not ideal was the size of the tv in the bedroom.
If we return to this part of Cornwall we would have no hesitation in staying here again.

FREEZING
Had to come through the bar to check in. It was full of rowdy guys being really quite aggressive with each other with lots of swearing (F*** & C*** being liberally thrown around).
I have to say (even as a 6 foot, 19 stone guy), that this was not welcoming and quite off putting.
The room was freezing - absolutely no heat until after I checked in at 5.30 when it was put on.
I had to sit in my car in the car park to attend a Zoom call because it was so cold in the room.
Room was a little warmer after I had eaten, but woke in the night to find all heating was off again.
Got up this morning with zero heating on. Simply too cold to even contemplate a shower. Heating still off when I went down for breakfast.
I simply don’t expect to be freezing in a hotel, B&B or pub bedroom.
