Our stay at the Spanish Inn was exactly what we'd hoped for. A "home away from home" experience where the staff and accommodations felt just like being at home with a family who really care about your comfort and happiness. I can't say enough about this lovely spot perfectly situated in the historic district. We parked the car and didn't get back in til we had to return home. We'll definitely be back!

We arrived late at night after driving 5 hours. We called the Inn to make sure they are aware of our late check-in. The manager gave us a bunch of instructions including retrieving the key and papers for more instructions. The wordy instructions included the name of the lot where we were supposed to park. We were provided with a permit hang tag with the no. 007. Upon arriving at the lot where the name of the lot was on a sign post by the entrance gate, we looked for #007. We parked at the spot that was numbered and what we thought was assigned to us as guests of the Inn on SPANISH Street. The day we checked out, we were shocked to find a parking violation ticket from the city! The manager argued that the wordy instructions were clear and that they've had GUESTS IN THE PAST EXPERIENCED THE SAME ISSUE and had to pay the City the penalty! This in and on itself tells you how poorly they have communicated to their guests. To add to the confusion was the fact that the parking lot was 5 houses away from the Inn and the direct route to get to it was blocked. We hung the “Please Make-up Room” sign before heading out for the day just to return with an uncleaned room. The only saving factor isSophia, the person who greeted us at the self-serve continental breakfast room. She was nice and friendly. The manager we talked to over the intercom, to ask about the parking ticket,was rude and condescending. He was not even on the property to talk to us face to face nor the entire time of our st
