It’s a shared accommodation style. The other guests were very welcoming and friendly. The owner was doing work on the outside of the building but stopped when we came so it was quiet for us. Told us good spots to eat and what to see, very helpful with any questions we had and easy to talk to.

We were surprised at the rooming house set up at first. Luckily others were not too loud and were friendly - most people were long-stay residents. Claude and Phyllis (who cane each evening) were so welcoming and explained several things we needed to know! Location was very good for us, and we were away daily for the opportunities in the area!

This accommodation is similar to living in a decent university residence, where everyone seems to follow the rules. Only the bedroom is private. Yet the other amenities (kitchen, bathroom, living room, laundry room) are clean and spacious, the bed is quite large, and your personal tv has all the channels and movies you may want!

This location is very rustic, clean , warm spacious and comfortable. It has a very home like atmosphere. The owner's parents dropped by nightly to ensure that everything was in good order. They added to the experience by providing info on local attractions and dining options.

There are no staff all communication is by internet for the price it is overpriced compared to similar the bathroom is shared. The walls are not sound proofed and conversations can be heard.the floor above you will hear them walking about as a short stay it is ok.in the price range there were no other properties avaliable

This place is not safe for guests. Have to walk through the kitchen to get to the stairs to the 2nd floor where we stayed. The stairs were steep and narrow. The room was very small, dark with a small window. The 3 bathrooms were down the hall and were used by all second floor guest. The exit lights were ordinary lights, not red lights. I have pictures of the room and stairs. We were afraid that if a fire broke out we would be trapped. Very uncomfortable night.

When booking I did not see it was a shared bathroom or I never would have booked this room. Walls are paper thin and front door was difficult to push open and squeaked loudly. Unfortunately our room was right across from the front door. We could hear other guests snoring and a baby crying. The floor in our room had a definite slant and no place to put a suitcase other than the floor. Because of the design of the house the window in our room was at ground level, like a basement window. I just felt uncomfortable from the moment we entered our room.

Clean and with great facilities

Unfortunately we never received the joining instructions giving us the access code but luckily the helpful parents of the owner were around and everything was sorted. It was a good half hour walk into the Grenfell Museum so not having a car was a disadvantage. Great kitchen and laundry facilities
