Loved the atmosphere, relaxed and friendly bar and restaurant. Dinner was first class and the chef is a star. Great menu, beautifly prepared and presented.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Great location and setting for a short stay in Fife. Staff were helpful with extra requests for a young family. Delicious food from the restaurant and full breakfast next morning. Room was spacious and well equipped with comfortable beds, fast wifi, fridge and TV etc.
We stayed as a family of 4, the room was great with one double and two single beds. Plenty of space and nice and clean. All staff were friendly and the food was lovely.
Very friendly staff and pet friendly. Room very large and spacious.
Breakfast was nice, would be good to have alternative coffees like lattes or cappuccinos.
There was some hair left in bathroom and the room was quite cold unfortunately
The host Annette is very nice and helpful.
Her cuisine is excellent for breakfast and dinner.
Room is clean and beds really comfortable.
Nice walk to the beach and close to golf course.
Highly recommend.
Lovely couple of hosts, very homely and welcoming.
Great situation, great beach only minutes away.
Great golf courses abound.
Breakfast was excellent. Dinner was good too.
Very dog friendly with Harris the golden retriever welcoming everyone who brings a dog.
Such a lovely hotel! Staff were all lovely and very helpful. We were welcomed by a sweet dog when we came in which was lovely too. The room was really nice and spacious, would definitely recommend. Location was great too with a bus stop right outside taking 15 minutes to get into st andrews.

Accommodation was very good and comfortable. The only reservation we would have is not being informed at the time of booking that evening meals were not available. Spoiled a very nice break.
The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The room had all the amenities you could need. Staff were amazing. Food was excellent, small menue but perfect. We will definitely be back.
Owners and the team super-friendly and accommodating. Room spacious and well equipped. We dined both nights and loved it. Would stay again! Only minor negatives around some
cobwebs in the room and outside appesrance of the property, which was a bit untidy and could do with a refresh.
Lovely overnight stay at The Inn at Kingsbarns, the staff were very friendly and the location is ideal for St Andrews and the surrounding area.
Room was very comfortable, quiet and well appointed with a lovely bathroom and tea and coffee making making facilities with fresh milk in the fridge, my room also had access to a small patio area which was ideal to be able to just nip out to the car, the weather was not ideal but it was a nice addition.
Evening meal was very nice, small menu but concentrating on doing those items well rather than having too much on the menu, breakfast was again very nice with plenty of options be it cooked or continental.
Very nice stay indeed :-)
A short break at the Inn. The room was excellent, nice and quiet, and amazing shower. Toiletries also provided which pleased my partner no end. Well stocked with tea/coffee/biscuits/milk and the fridge was very welcome too. Had dinner one night, home-cooked food and all requests for special diet was accommodated without issue.
I would recommend.
Excellent stay, couldn’t fault anything. Room was bright, spacious and immaculate. Breakfast was excellent with good choice. Hosts are welcoming and informative.
The Inn is sweet - small bar - but very welcoming - dining room excellent. Our bedroom was tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable and warm. Loved the old shutters
We were warmly greeted on arrival by Annette (and Harris!). Our room was extremely comfortable and well appointed. Excellent breakfast - we ate in The Scranhoose on three evenings and on each occasion the food was home cooked and of excellent quality and value. The Inn is in a great location to explore the local area and it was so good to be able to relax in the bar at the end of the evening.
Thank you Annette, Maxx and Ann for looking after us so well!
A comfortable stay . Hosts were very welcoming and friendly . Breakfast was very good . Location excellent for visiting places in both directions . Felt rooms were rather overpriced as this was a small inn rather than hotel but appreciate this is an expensive area to visit so will have been priced accordingly . Harris the dog was a great talking point and such a lovely pet. However there was lots of dog hair around so if you are allergic to dogs this may not be for you .
A wee gem of a place to stay, it was in a quiet area not much to do unless you were driving although there are buses available into St Andrews. Golf courses nearby.
The hotel was lovely. Room was spacious and comfortable, we had a good nights sleep. A good selection of teas and coffee in your room and a nice selection of toiletries.
The staff were great, friendly and helpful. Its just a small hotel but you soon feel part of the family, not much seems to bother them, you will get a very warm welcome especially from Harris the dog.
