We only stayed one night and wished we had booked more. Spotless clean room, great staff, good food; beautiful property. Location was excellent and just a short walk to downtown and the cathedral! Would definitely return!

St Michael’s Manor is superb, it’s an old building that is really lovely, the staff are the best I’ve come across and the breakfast lovely. Well placed being close to the city centre and lakes. The grounds are stunning.

Lovely country house hotel in a spectacular location beside the park and lake. Short but uphill walk to the town - under 10 minutes. Parking was spacious and easy. Very comfortable bed and pillows. A bonus in the summer is the air conditioning which worked well and was quiet.

Our room was perfect and the staff were so accommodating to get our room ready early so we could get ready for a wedding. Breakfast was lovely! Our only issue was a knocking in the wall of our room which kept us awake. Raised it with staff on the way out and they were so apologetic.

A beautiful property in scenic grounds with plenty of off site parking. We had an Executive suite which was a great size with its self contained living room area and separate bedroom. The only slight nags are the lack of a life if you are not in an accessible room but it is an old country manor house so we get it and also given the room rate involved it leaves a bit of a sour taste in the mouth you have to pay a not insignificant cost for breakfast. Just roll it in to the room rate and no one is none the wiser but it completes the experience. All in all a lovely hotel which we recommend.
