Vacations Close To Spluga Valley

The breakfast was good, lots of options to chose from depending on your personal preference. Location is convenient for not only accessing menaggio, but also the other many towns along the lake. The ferry makes for easy access across the lake. The Piazza is a roughly 20 minute walk from hotel. Its uphill the whole way back but not too bad. You can also drive down, but parking can be tricky if not there early enough. The room was ok, but was a bit tired, worn and in need of renovation. The balcony with partial view of the lake was nice, especially in the morning for sunrise. The room offers little sound muffeling and you could hear the toilets flushing, people opening and closing doors or coughing. The staff were friendly, kind and doing their best to acomodate. Though it felt like they were understaffed and trying to manage a lot. The pool is nice.

We stayed in room 401 - top floor with a balcony overlooking the water and mountains - incredible view! The breakfasts were included and it’s fantastic - very well done. The Lisander restaurant at the property just earned a Michelin star and it’s incredible! We had 2 dinners there. The staff were all very friendly professional and accommodating - I highly recommend this hotel!

This hotel has exquisite views, fast Wifi, great showers, a lovely breakfast and wonderful service staff. It is also just 5 minutes' walk to the local ferry stop that takes you to City of Como. But the rooms need a facelift, and they're small. We also got inaccurate information about ferry times and bus routes, which added extra trouble to already busy days. Is this hotel worth the pricetag? Location. Location. Location.
