Excellent, modern, clean and well-maintained property. Staff are uniformly friendly and helpful. Good spa, okay fitness room, convenient pool. Good air-conditioning. Walk to town and beach, or readily available shuttle. Breakfast is a standout with huge variety on buffet and many staff to assist. This is an excellent hotel at a good value price.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Virgilio Grand Hotel and would definitely stay here again. The staff were absolutely amazing. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. They really made a difference in our experience and were probably one of our favorite things about the hotel. The breakfast was also incredible. It was honestly one of the best included breakfast buffets we’ve ever had at a hotel. There was a huge selection, everything was fresh, and we actually looked forward to breakfast every morning. The only part of our stay that was a little disappointing was the Economy room we booked. The air conditioning worked extremely well and the bed was comfortable, but the room itself was definitely showing its age. The bathroom in particular could use some attention, as there were cracked tiles in the shower and some visible mold. At around $325 per night, we expected the room to be in a little better condition. That being said, it really didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed the hotel overall. The rest of the property was great and the staff were wonderful. If we stay here again, and I think we probably will, we would just spend a little more and book one of the upgraded rooms instead of the Economy room. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily come back. The staff and breakfast alone made this a really memorable stay.

Great hotel and well run. Kudos to the management . Breakfast was amazing with a huge selection. Their reserved beach area was also great, no rocks , smooth sand and great for kids . Only a 5 min shuttle ride that runs throughout the day until evening.

The property was very clean, the staff were very helpful answering questions regarding the hotel and the surrounding areas. The shuttle to the beach was convenient and readily available. The private beach was lovely with chairs and umbrellas to rent and a very nicely decorated and welcoming facility for drinks, food and restrooms. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a huge variety for our large family and a calm and lovely way to start the day. The spa services were a wonderful addition to our stay. We would return to this hotel! Thank you for a lovely stay! We are refreshed and recharged!

I wouldn’t consider this a 4 star hotel. We were in a room in the basement that had no wifi and even tho we asked a few times nothing was done. Water wasn’t replaced even when asked and no one explained how the booking of beach chairs worked. When you come all the way from Canada expecting wifi and a beach spot , it’s disappointing to not get this and be paying 500$/ nite. The city is stunning and beautiful ! The shuttle service to the beach and the buffet were also great

This particular hotel stay was a completely unique experience for myself and my family, not only because it was our first time staying there as well as our first time visiting Sperlonga, but also because after we checked out, we could not think of one even somewhat critical observation about our stay. This hotel absolutely lives up to the “Grand” in its name and then some. Every area of it is so beautiful, clean, and comfortable, and the rooms are spacious and accomodating. The staff is so welcoming, helpful, and friendly, and all the amenities offered are so lovely, from the wonderful morning breakfast, the pool and other outdoor areas, and the complementary shuttle service to and from their portion of the beach. While I would have preferred to have known in advance what the cost was to reserve chairs and an umbrella at the beach, the beachside staff assisted us quickly and competently, with the charge added to our bill upon checkout (rather than requiring cash in hand). This truly felt like a boutique hotel experience, yet very reasonably priced. We can’t wait to return!
