“What’s not to love? This place is an absolute gem. The rooms are immaculate, each with its own unique character, and it was so peaceful and relaxing throughout our stay. “The room was clean and comfortable, we had a good nights sleep and it was very quiet too. The WiFi was a bit slow but we got by with it. The dinner and breakfast was very tasty and we didn’t have to wait too long for the food. The staff were lovely and helpful and friendly. There was outside space to and look at the lovely view and we will be staying there again. The area is lovely and quiet too with Whitby close by too.”

“A really comfortable hotel in a lovely village well placed for exploring North Yorkshire. The staff were all excellent, the food was superb and the bed was very comfortable. It’s not super modern as it’s in an old building but this makes it cosy and very comfortable. The outdoor pool is heated so lovely for a dip before breakfast.”

So much choice at breakfast, all delicious, everything you could want. Can’t wait to go back in summer to enjoy the open terrace overlooking the pond. A real joy to stay here.”
