This was right on the beach and had an excellent restaurant on the property. Food and drinks were excellent and very friendly bartender and waiter. They even brought our dogs some bacon and water. Hotel seemed a bit pricey however it was the weekend and we had to pay extra for our dogs. Bed was very comfortable.

I'm an RGV local and this was my first staycation! The room was incredible but the charger ports in the light fixtures above the bed weren't working so I used cube chargers on the outlets. The small fridge kept my soda and snacks cold but the freezer doesn't complete freeze for Popsicles. My room was on the first floor and I loved how close the beach access and café on the beach was, main reason for my stay and definitely will stay again for those reasons plus how friendly and hardworking the staff was to help me throughout my stay.

Cool little motel!! Staff was friendly. Rooms are really out dated, limited to no amenities. Restaurant had great food but they shut it down for 2 days along with the bar. Would not tell anybody why so made it very inconvenient, no other restaurant close, really. couldn’t even get coffee. Assuming based on the deep clean they did , it was probably a health code thing. Rooms are not very secure, no way to deadbolt the room when you leave and old school key and lock and really hard to unlock. No where to get ice. Tv rarely worked and internet was extremely spotty. Access to beach was good. Ultimately wouldn’t stay there again. Needs a lot of TLC

Great place to stay when visiting SPI. Watched the SpaceX launch at a county park the stayed at the Palms Resort. Ate all meals at Cafe on the Beach which is on the beachside of the building. Excellent food.

We can't say enough about the reception the cleanliness the best towels in the world and the management of the palms resort. Everyone from Kendall at the front desk, Kathryn the general manager, The Housekeeping staff and the entire staff in the cafe gives you the welcome and you can tell that they work hard to make sure that you're going to have a good time whether it's just for the weekend or for the long term. We will be back again and again
