1) there was what appeared to be black mold around the ceiling in the bathroom. 1) the room had an odd smell. 3) the filters for the ac/heating unit were fill of a black/gray substance. 4) the trains constantly running behind the motel were really loud 5) it is not the typical Best Western. I've stayed in BW's all across the country. This was a shock. We canceled our 2nd night and found another place to stay. It reminded us of an old dive motel. 6) when I took a shower the drain was apparently mostly clogged. The water was up to my ankles by the time I finished. 7) the outside looked nice though. I have pictures of all the issues and reported it to BW corporate.

Good and not so good

The room was clean and comfortable. The toilet needed attention. Functional but running on constantly. The desk also needed attention. It was wooden and wobbly. It either needed a bolt tightened or glue. Perhaps both. Check in clerk was efficient and kind. Fresh coffee on a cold night was a plus. Overall I felt safe.

Staff on evening shift gave wrong information about breakfast times and items served. We missed breakfast first morning. Cleaning up before 9:00 the second morning so I almost missed breakfast again. Property is older. Breakfast was a real disappointment in comparison to other Best Westerns

For the price this hotel could be better. Beds are small full size not queen size. Smelly room. Nothing hot for breakfast. Frozen sandwiches, no condiments. Terrible coffee! Server literal stood next to my husband while he made his wafle and followed us around like we were stealing. Very uncomfortable.
