Soufriere is in a beautiful area and there are a number of good local lunch spots, but it is economically depressed so expect street hustlers.

We never left the resort grounds as there weren’t many attractions to see outside of the hotel and the taxi charges start at a minimum of $50 per trip. Yes, $50 per trip outside the hotel. The area looked underdeveloped.

We were almost killed when a truck without brakes rear ended the taxi/limo ordered by the Hotel. It remains to be seen if they provide us with all the information requested following the accident.
