The views and room were absolutely amazing, and the location is beautiful. Once you get settled, there are plenty of great restaurants and shops within walking distance.
One thing I wish had been made clearer is that the room I originally booked was located down the cliffside. I ended up paying an additional €100 per night to upgrade, which was unexpected. It wasn’t the cost that bothered me—it was the lack of transparency beforehand.
Unfortunately, check-in was the weakest part of my stay. It felt cold, slow, and rushed, even though I arrived around check-in time. There isn’t a traditional front desk, and one person seemed to handle everything. As a solo traveler, I felt overlooked while larger groups received more attention. A warmer welcome and a little local guidance would have made a big difference.
The rest of the staff I encountered were friendly, and I only discovered on my last morning that breakfast was included—it was delicious. I don’t recall that being mentioned during check-in.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay because the property itself is stunning. However, I probably wouldn’t return with my family, as we’d prefer more on-site amenities like a pool and restaurant. With a more welcoming check-in and clearer communication, this hotel could easily be a 5-star experience.
