The property is old but kept up well. I loved the art gallery all through the hallways and the lovely sitting areas with books and magazines. The food was exceptional as expected.

A lot of Space, all the furniture have style. However, there is some kind of smell which almost knock me out, just kidding. People are very friendly, foods are great. And, we have the best seat in the house, lol

Great location and nice, down to earth people working there. We were disappointed that our hot tub wasn't working (it was after torrential rains so i understand septic issues affected lots of us) and that there were no robes in our room. Not sure if robes are provided, but i saw our neighbors in robes (maybe they brought their own?) and at the price, they ought to be included. The firewood provided was the size of kindling, so we had a short fire in the fireplace. The Copper Room resto was excellent, food, service, ambience, all great. Comfy beds. Great art all around. The breakfast waiter was reasonably efficient but lacked any social finesse. It was kinda funny. Breakfast itself was tasty. I got the pork belly confit eggs benny. Yum, but i wish there was a bit more meat in there; the benny itself is already on the small side, and over 20 bucks, so full coverage of the tiny english muffin with meat would be appropriate for the cost and concept. Overall, a very nice hotel.

Beautiful location! Horrible service in dining and coffe shop......sat for 20 minutes for NewYears Breakfast.....one waitress and at least 5 tables that were not cleared or cleaned. No coffee, no service, not recommended for the cost of my room of $575- and NY Eve dinner at $350-!!!! It’s a RIP OFF HIGHLY OVERRATED BY A LONG SHOT!!! If you do go make sure you set your expectations as low!!! Signed, Extremely disappointed

We enjoyed our stay in these quaint rooms. Breakfast and dinner were very good. A few hiccups were encountered, when I called the resort to let them know we were needing a pet friendly room they informed me I had two rooms booked and needed to call Expedia to fix the problem, Expedia said it was the resorts mistake and called them to fix it. Upon our 3:15 pm check-in there was a bit of confusion amongst the staff and we were told there was no key for the room and the previous guests must’ve taken it home with them. We waited while they sorted that out and they offered us a free drink for our wait. We had stayed on a quiet Sunday night and while the restaurant was scheduled to stay open until 9pm the front desk called our room at 6:20 to let us know the restaurant was closing at 7:00pm that night so we rushed down and got a good meal, but would’ve missed out had we not been our room.

Beautiful property. We got away in early December for a weekend before all the holiday crazyness. The room was upgraded and amazing.. about 1000sq ft. The bedroom had a sitting area with a fireplace and overlooked the water. The food, whick I've head stories about for years, lived up to the hype and the staff were exceptional. We will do it again anytime we need a weekend to disconnect.

We liked the tranquility and rustic quality of the place. Great place to relax if that's what you want. Many interesting works of art to appreciate. Would have enjoyed a hot tub but only available in certain rooms. Didn't get a king bed which is what we booked for. Copper Room service was great and food was good. Long winding drive from the ferry which is stressful in the dark.

The Harbour House is a good property for a stay, however, it is dated - that could be part of its charm. The Copper Room (bar and restaurant), are comfortable and have good service and food.

The location of the property was absolutely prime. The ocean view was phenomanal and only steps away from our back door. Wood was supplied and we made a cozy fire every morning. Although there was a lot of people staying there during the long weekend, it was very quiet. The only complaint was that we didn't get any room service one day and so we had to go ask for more wood, coffee pods and creamers. They were very prompt and friendly with providing that right away. Would definetly recommend this place if you are wanting a quiet relaxing getaway!

A gem in the Pacific Northwest. Room was beautiful with great view. The restaurant was just amazing, having the fish stew with some beats was a piece of genius.

I wish I could say we loved it as we love Sooke, I think the thing we can say we liked was the outside tub and that it was close to the Whiffen Spit to walk our dog. The hotel is in need of some serious love, it’s so run down and the rooms are so dated. After moving twice, first time because a family was above us and kids were jumping off beds and screaming and could hear every word and second time because once we were in there we realized the room hadn’t been cleaned! We moved to the hummingbird room, too many hummingbird decorations, and most really dated. We could hear clearly people above us all through the night. Not the quiet, romantic get away we had hoped for.

Beautiful location and charming building and decor. It is becoming a bit "tired," e.g. the fixtures and room furnishings are dated. Could use a freshening up to modernize the facility without losing its charm.

Tired old rooms and building in disrepair - so badly in need of capital. Service was unengaged and uninterested. Food was unimaginative, lacked flavor and far far over-priced. View was nice though.

Beautiful scenic location. Rustic west coast vibe. Good size rooms with great ocean views. 2 restaurants. Copper is less formal. Formal dining room serves great food although the appetizers are very very small! The staff is friendly. It needs a facelift and through cleaning.
