Loved the pool and El Hefe (restaurant). The staff were nice. They had a car show there the weekend we stayed which we weren’t aware of. It was so busy we couldn’t find parking, our Ubers couldn’t access the front entrance and it was extremely over crowded in the main areas of the hotel. Also a strong chemical smell in the hallways. The hotel itself is in rough condition.

We paid extra for a king bed, ground floor room with a patio, poolside. When we arrived we were given a third floor room with 2 queen beds so we had to sleep apart. We booked months in advance so there was no reason for this. The attitude was "sorry, that's all we have" with no mention of the extra money we paid. We will not be coming back.

Although very colorful and appealing to the eyes, note that it is an old establishment (some sort of motel or inn) that was redone, so the feel in the rooms and the halls reminded me of a low class hotel. If you don't mind that, you are in great hands! The staff was very friendly and welcoming, including their doggy mascot! Food was delicious, the heated pool looked tempting, and the hammocks made any other bad detail fade away. It was my first time in Palm Springs, so I chose the mountain view, which was amazing!

1. Walls were so thin that our neighbor basically had a party in our room. I was able to record his very loud conversation through the wall with minimal effort (in case I needed proof of complaint). He and his partner talked all night long, and I know because I woke up in two hour increments to their voices. 2. Upon entry to the room, we discovered old food in our fridge from the previous tenant. 3. Beyond the front desk, who to its credit, was friendly, the place was basically unstaffed by anyone other than the cleaning staff who made it clear that they not there to help you. Also, it was impossible to reach the front desk via the phone on the first try. The pool area had absolutely no staff on duty on a Sunday afternoon. There was a dirty bandaid by the hot tub, and absolutely no music in the pool area. 4. Thoughts on dogs and children: I did not bring my dog this visit due to lack of clear info on their website, and this turned out to be a good choice because their unadvertised dog fee is an additional $50. Whereas everyone is welcome at the Saguaro, I feel that party adults without children or dogs will feel significantly more welcome based on our experience with our children. The volume of our neighbors in our room plus the smell of cigarette smoke as our little ones were swimming made me regret not choosing a different hotel. 5. Overall, it’s a place for photos, drinks, and an adult pool session. We enjoyed the pool view. Definitely a hit or miss!

The room is desperate for a renovation. Carpets and wall paints need updating. The towels feel like kitchen towels. The first floor is unpleasant, balcony is dirty and the room is very noisy.
