Nice old classic hotel. Wall to wall carpets, but clean and neat. Booked the hotel four hours before we arrived, as we were driving through Germany on holiday. Came after midnight, but the guy in the reception welcomed us, and carried our bags to our room. Very friendly staff! Nice beds and perfect for a family of four. Close to Heide Park as well.

The hotel is situated in the downtown area of Soltau. Shopping, restaurants, bars and museums are all in walking distance. Access to the entire Heidekreis by car is excellent. Even so the hotel was quiet. The hotel was clean and the service staff was friendly. The furniture and the interior of the hotel were old, reminiscent of the 60s and 70s. The bed was a bit too small for me and the pillow somewhat uncomfortable. Nevertheless, I felt that the cost-benefit ratio was acceptable. Breakfast was good. I would stay at the hotel again.

Small property... I get it... it's not like a big-brand 5-star hotel. Still, I expect some basics. The room smelled funny, even after I aired it out. The radiator in the bathroom does not work. The shower frequently cycled between scorching hot and freezing cold water. The "free breakfast" does not get restocked, so cold cuts that were consumed yesterday would be empty today--no new alternatives, just that spot is now empty. The upholstery is severely stained and worn on the chairs in their "restaurant" area. Also, no elevator, so be prepared to carry all luggage up the stairs! Overall, very disappointing, and I don't plan to go back.

Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber allerdings schon deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Der Boden war teils sehr uneben speziell im Bettbereich und es war generell recht hellhörig im Hotel (Gespräche und Schritte in anderen Zimmern/Etagen) waren zu hören. Das Bad war in Ordnung, es ist halt nicht mehr aktuell und eine Bodenleiste in der Dusche ist abgefallen. Das Bad war aber auch durchweg sauber. Das Frühstück war okay, ich würde dafür jetzt nicht aufstehen (Kaffee gibt es nur Filterkaffee in Kannen und der Saft ist extrem verwässert, die Brötchen (es gibt nur 1 Sorte) sind sehr hart). Eier gibt es nur gekocht (5 und 7 min) kein Rührei oder generell irgendetwas warmes. Normalerweise übernachten wir im Heide-Park selbst, dort wurde allerdings zu diesem Zeitpunkt ein Preis von 400 € für die reine Übernachtung verlangt. Das Hotel Meyn ist ein akzeptables Hotel für eine Nacht ich werde aber in Zukunft auf andere Hotels in der Region ausweichen die moderner sind und speziell jetzt im Sommer über eine Klimaanlage verfügen.

Dette er en tidslomme og et hotel der ikke har fået en kærlig hånd siden 70’ erne. De er søde og venlige, men værelserne ligner og dufter som min gamle farmors kælderværelse. Det er desværre ikke på den charmerende måde. Så er du til den slags, så endelig, gør det. Men os der bare gerne vil nyde et hotel med velholdte værelser og en god morgenmads buffet, så er det ikke på dette Hotel.

Hotellet var okay til en enkelt overnatning - enten i forbindelse med besøg i Heide Park eller i forbindelse med en længere køretur sydpå. Vi var to voksne og to børn på et værelse, hvor vi var udfordret af et meget lydt værelse, hvor man kunne høre snak fra naboværelset og meget tydeligt høre, når nogen gik ovenpå. Læg dertil at hotellet har set bedre dage og at rengøringen ikke når helt ud i hjørnerne... Dette skal selvfølgelig vejes op mod en overnatningspris på 1000 DKK per nat for fire mennesker og inkl. morgenmad. Af plusser på værelset kan nævnes et udmærket fjernsyn og at man havde modvejet manglende aircondition ved at stille en ventilator ind. Af plusser skal nævnes et meget venligt personale og så var morgenmaden også meget fornuftig med tanke på prisen for overnatningen.

Morgenmaden var okay, men hotellet bærer tydeligt præg af at være af ældre dato. Sovesofaen på 4personers værelse var meget hård og i øvrigt så kort den ikke egner sig til personer over 180cm. Dejligt med gratis parkering på hotellets parkeringsplads. Venligt personale.

Hotellet virker temmelig slidt, især værelset. Hvis man som os får et værelse ud mod vejen, er der meget støj fra trafikken, indtil kl. 24 og igen fra kl. 05. Det er med lukkede vinduer. Hvis vi åbnede vinduerne, var det endnu værre. Det havde vi egentlig brug for, da der var meget varmt på værelset. Morgenmaden var fin og personalet venligt.
