Very clean hotel and nice staff. The spa is good however, I would have preferred service there as using a phone to order is not great as don’t have a phone in the spa. Food was good and breakfast as well.

Excellent service, very good breakfast, beautiful surroundings.Short walk to Göta kanal, free parking, free pool. Very nice. Only really negative thing was the lack of cooling/ air conditioning. The fan we got helped only a bit. The bed was quite soft, perhaps even too soft.

A very nice hotel in a picturesque location, plenty of character, very good breakfast, but it was pricey compared to other hotels of similar standard that we stayed in sweden, and they also charged extra for the spa and pool etc.

Vorsicht bei Bezahlungen an der Rezeption dieses Hotels!! Hier wird in betrügerischer Absicht darauf abgezielt, doppelte Zahlungen zu erwirken, indem lang und breit von zwei Personen argumentiert wird, die erste Zahlung sei scheinbar nicht durchgegangen. Zwei nachträgliche Beschwerden per email blieben unbeantwortet. Die Erstattung erfolgte 28 Tage später und war unvollständig: Ich bezahlte meine Endrechnung mit Kreditkarte, die Zahlung ging durch und wurde durch einen grünen Haken angezeigt im Display. Dann wurde mir lang und breit erst von einem Rezeptionisten und dann von einer Rezeptionistin erklärt, die Zahlung sei nicht durchgegangen. Auf meine Bitte hin, mir eine Bestätigung auszudrucken mit dem Hinweis "Transaktion declined" wurde mir diese verwehrt mit dem Hinweis, dies sei nicht möglich. Dann wurde auf dem Computerdisplay mit angeblichen Zahlungen des internen Systems argumentiert und mir anhand dieser Zahlen hoch und heilig versprochen bzw. "nachgewiesen", die Zahlung sei nicht erfolgt. Ich zahlte im Vertrauen darauf noch einmal. Zuhause angekommen, waren natürlich zwei identische Belastungen auf meiner Kreditkarte! Die erste email an das Hotel blieb unbeantwortet. Die zweite, energischere email an den Hoteldirektor blieb ebenfalls unbeantwortet (!). Erst viel später, genau gesagt 28 Tage später, erfolgte eine unvollständige Gutschrift auf meiner Kreditkarte. Eine Antwort oder gar eine Entschuldigung ist bis zum heutigen Tage ausgeblieben.

Außer der tollen Lage, war es ein sehr schönes Hotel. Frühstück und Personal waren hervorragend. Auch das Zimmer und das ganze Hotel waren sehr sauber. Parkmöglichkeit war super. Kommen gern wieder und können das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen.

Rummet 239 var litet och varmt med utsikt var ett trist tak, saknade något att lägga resväskan på, dåligt underhåll på tex stolar då skruvar lossnade och ett handtag lossnade på nattduksbordet, saknade även ett kylskåp, men frukosten var toppen och hotellet var fint för övrigt.

Ett underbart hotell med en alldeles speciell atmosfär och vackert inrett med bevarade historiska detaljer. Mycket hjälpsam personal och en fantastisk frukost. Spadelen är jättemysig och är både inomhus och utomhus i en vacker trädgård. Läget är förträffligt med både Göta kanal och de fina äldre delarna av Söderköping runt knuten. Vi kan varmt rekommendera det här hotellet.

Vi har nyligen checkat in sent på detta hotell och är mycket missnöjda. I beskrivningen av hotellet står att det finns parkering... MEN inte att det är i mån av plats. Vi fick parkera på en gata långt från hotellet och släpa bagaget hela vägen tilbaka. När jag tog upp detta med hotellreception om den bristfälliga informationen blev jag dåligt bemött. När vi kommit in på rummet finner vi en golvlampa som enda fungerande belysning i badrummet. I handfatet ligger delar av armaturen för belysningen. Man har påbörjat byte av lysrör men inte färdigställt det. Istället står denna golvlampa med bristfälligt ljus i badrummet. Man kan även fundera över säkerheten idetta arrangemang. En obildad kontakt i ett jordat uttag i ett våtrum... Som topp på detta var tandborstglasen smutsiga. Se bifogade bilder. Vi blev erbjudna spabiljetter som kompensation då de ej hade lediga rum. Då vi ankom sent och skall åka tidigt imorgon var detta inget alternativ för oss. Ingen av representanterna, hotellpersonal eller Hotels.com har erbjudit oss någon kompensation utöver den vi inte hade möjlighet att använda. Hotell.com går inte att nå till en fysisk person då deras kundtjänst endast är en AI röst. Jag kommer aldrig mer att använda någon av dessa och rekommenderat alla att göra detsamma
