It is a very tourist friendly place. Also, it was very close to the capital Valetta via boat. From this spot, we were able to take ferries to different places. The hop-on-hop-off tourist bus originates from here, so it was very convenient.

Valetta is a much nicer area to stay in. Gozo is much more scenic.
The location is very convenient to take trips into Valletta, and there seems to be more abundant hotel options than in the city of Valletta.
