this was our second lenghty stay at the Majoren. August 2023 was the first. As was the case last August, we again enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It's a nice boutique hotel very close to the train station and central square as well as the university. The station (trains and buses) is a 10 minute walk away. The hotel staff are so nice and helpful. I want to compliment Tilda, the rest of the front desk staff, Maria and the other breakfast/dinner staff, Silva, one of the housekeeper's and the rest of the housekeeping staff. Our room again faced the train station but we didn't hear the trains as much this time. the hotel provides breakfast and dinner. Both were very good and very fresh. Although fried foods are a large part of Swedish dinner, we always found enough on the dinner menu. Each night there is one main entree but always several different salads, soup, and delicious bread. the hotel has 2 buildings. Our preference is to stay in the main building. We've now stayed a total of 16 days and we've enjoyed both of our stays. We would stay again at Majoren without hesitation.

Ich hatte einen angenehmen Aufenthalt im Hotel. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders positiv fand ich, dass ich meinen Koffer schon vor dem offiziellen Check-in im Gepäckraum abstellen konnte, obwohl ich etwa eine Stunde zu früh angekommen bin. Allerdings wäre es schön gewesen, wenn man den Check-in trotzdem schon etwas früher hätte machen können – das würde den Aufenthalt noch entspannter beginnen lassen. Das Zimmer war sauber und gut ausgestattet. Ein kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag: Die Tür zur Duschkabine sollte erneuert oder besser abgedichtet werden, da beim Duschen Wasser unter der Tür hindurchlief. Insgesamt ein guter Aufenthalt – ich würde das Hotel weiterempfehlen und komme gerne wieder!

Bra och prisvärd hotellupplevelse.

Trevligt och prisvärd övernattning på Home hotell Majoren. Snabb incheckning, fika på eftermiddagen och kvällsmat på kvällen (fläskkarre med potatis samt grönsakssoppa samt salladsbuffé) ingår, förutom en bra frukost. Rummet var fint, fräscht och rent, allt utom en kyl fanns. Stort och fräscht badrum med rituals-tvål vilket känns lite lyxigt. Luftkonditioneng gjorde att sömnen blev god. Rekommenderas.

Jättefint rum blev glatt överraskad perfekt för att bo själv i. Jätte trevlig personal och otroligt god frukost! Hade önskat att ha en fläkt på rummet då värmen var hög i rummet pga av det fina vädret.

Unik inredning

Fräsch lobby och matsal. Framförallt rummet var fint inrett och hade en mycket skön säng. Fåtölj och skrivbord fanns. Läget är bra, både centralt och nära till resecentrum. Frukost, eftermiddagsfika och middag ingick. Middagen var ok, frukosten bra.
