I stayed here twice in April and found it excellent. The room was comfortable, the staff were pleasant and the location was perfect. It's a few minutes' walk from the inter-city bus station, the municipal bus station and the airport bus. Almost across the street from the hotel is a large supermarket in a mall with other shops. A few minutes' walk past there takes you to the Vardar River. Turn left (northwest) and Skopje's main sites are within easy walking distance. This was a very good place to stay.

Excellent location for access to Bus station and supermarket. For late fight arrival ( midnight) they arranged shuttle service ( extra cost) and very late checkin. Not offered by many other accomodation properties.

We actually didn’t get to stay at the Astera Apart Hotel due to a technical issue but the Manager met us at the Hotel and made quick arrangements for us to stay at a one bedroom apartment at the Urban Hostel and Apartments nearby. The Manager at that establishment met us at the Astera Apart Hotel reception and helped carry our luggage down the street and got us settled in. All cost were covered and we had a wonderful time. The Manager even messaged us letting us know that the next time we are visiting we have a free room available. The way in which these two Managers handled the situation is a true testament of the people of Skopje and North Macedonia.

The room really looks like the nice, professional photos. Very nice room, with a little balcony (with a screen door and a glass door). Nice bathroom and comfortable bed. Key card to get in and out of the building. Very close to the train and bus terminal and a mall that includes a grocery store. Easy walk to the center of town and the old town.

The hotel is advertising that it has AC. When I arrived, the AC was not available. I called the receptionist and was told that the air conditioning is ONLY available during certain months. My stay was during the month of April. It was humid and the room was hot and stuffy. I was not able to sleep at all during the night because it was so uncomfortable.

The check-in was terrible. Even after notifying them as requested for our check in time no one was there to check us in They had a buzzer on the outside of the door that did not work. I had to activate my EU Sim card in order to call the number that was listed outside of reception. After calling 7 times someone finally came down and checked us in. It cost us over €40 in roaming charges because of this.

Aircon was set at a temperature of 25 degrees and the room was too stuffy, towels had hair on them, will not book again, the hotel is close to everything such as east gate mall and vero centre and train station but will not be booking there again. When we asked for a change in the temperature the manager told us that 25 degrees was good for our room, so we couldnt conteol the temperature from our room, when you open the window the aircon automatically turns off, not good when staying in the middle of summer and trying to stay cool
