Vacations Close To Pointe-au-Pere Maritime Historic Site

the main issue is that paid parking is 5 minutes away and need to vacate parking lot by 8ham the next morning. When it rains, not the best way to start the vacation if you are traveling solo and need to carry your luggage . Also the building has 4 floors and no elevator.

The room and check-in process was great over all. However, there was a leak in one of the bathrooms. When occupants of the above unit showered, one of the bathroom in my unit would also have water coming down from the ceiling light in the shower. We were a little worried if there might be an electrocution risk in that bathroom. I phoned the management right the way when it happened, they never sent anyone. The next day I guess the people in the unit above checked out, so we did not have any leaking problem anymore. But I do wonder if the management actually already know the problem but never bothered to fix it.

We were surprised by a security deposit on arrival. We had paid for the parking and the room but they requested a credit card number and retained 250 dollars deposit for 10 days.

Gorgeous lofted suite in the most perfect part of town. Soaker tub was fantastic. Small downside was having to walk down the 21 steps narrow spiral staircase in the middle of the night to use the washroom. Other than that, it was beautiful. It is a little difficult to find with all the construction going on - so we had to do a little recon mission first to find the location before hauling bags as you cannot drive right to the door with the current construction. It’s also on a street that no cars are allowed on. Can’t beat the view and location though. My husband is a history buff and loved it!

Everything was as listed but that doesn't really capture the experience. The apartment was soulless. Very bare. There were kitchen utensils, but limited glassware and there was literally nothing there to ease the way for travellers first arriving and tired. This is a bigger problem in that there is literally just a gas station nearby where one can buy snacks and coffee but nothing else unless you're renting a car. The only convenience store is about a 15 mn walk away and very small with limited selections. The other thing that irked was that they nickel and dime you. If you arrive early and need a place to store your luggage, they charge you about $6 an hour for the privilege. That struck me as low class. I wouldn't stay there again, it's just not welcoming.

Perfect location - right on the edge of the old town area. There is a restaurant attached or you can venture out for local food and drink. If we return, this is our go-to hotel!

Can’t beat it for the price. Rooms comfy & clean

Very nice hotel, although a bit dated. The room walls were so thin you could hear everything—and I mean EVERYTHING! Other than that, the staff were lovely and very helpful. The hotel is about a 30-minute drive from Old Québec. We found it cheaper to take a Lyft than to pay for parking. The outdoor pool was wonderfully warm, even in the cold weather, and the hot tub was the perfect size. I just dont understand why they have to pay a full time lifeguard to watch an empty pool. Why not re route the resource towards maintaining the garden, painting the fence ... I've never seen a life guard at a hotel
