It was a good stay overall, quiet stay. Upon arrival the room looked exactly like the pictures did. Things to add would be to have staff attend the front desk more often, I was trying to get the password for the WiFi but every-time I came or walked by there was no one at the desk. There were multiple dents in the room, a dent in the bathtub exposing the insulation and one in the ceiling in the main room. Breakfast was ok could fix the waffle machine so the waffles fully cook in them and offer a variety other than eggs and sausage in the chafer. Would enjoy coming back again!

I just want to know who decides how to design a handicap room? The roll in shower was very clean, but impractical. The main problem was that the curtain did not help contain the spray and the floor did not slope back into the shower. The result was that I ended up with a small pond that went into my bed area. The provided 2 towels meant that I did not have enough for me and to contain the water in the bathroom. I felt bad that the water left the bathroom but the design of the room was not well thought through. Everything else was great, the room was clean and comfortable. The property well maintained.

Internet speed was excellent here. Other than that I was very disappointed with staying here. I mean, if this place were out in western South Dakota, it would be okay but for Sioux Falls, there are so many better options. When we first checked in on Sunday I wanted to take a shower but we had no towels until after 5 p.m. Garbage bin on rear of motel was overflowing throughout our stay. Waffle machine could not cook evenly. Milk at breakfast was warm on the first day. We did enjoy the live prairie dog that apparently lives just outside of our room. (That is outside of our window.) The thermostat on the air conditioning/heating unit was very weird. Apparently a setting of 72 degrees on heat bears no relationship to the same setting when the unit is set to cool. Staff was friendly enough. Microtel Inns have way of sucking all the useful space out of a room and this Microtel was no exception. The worst issue of all had to do with our bed frames. The mattresses were a bit too small for the frame so WATCH OUT. Like us, you may find yourself with some bruises after your stay.
