My family and I were very happy with the service provided during our stay. Ms. Sarinah from the Front Office was extremely polite, helpful, and always willing to assist with a warm and professional attitude. She truly went the extra mile to ensure my family was comfortable, and she is a wonderful lady. I would also like to commend Mr. Zul from Room Service. He is very hardworking, trustworthy, and the room cleaning he carried out was superb. His dedication and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Overall, their excellent service made our stay pleasant and memorable.

For that price range, it can't get any better. Rooms are large and comes with bathtub, which is rare. Has a swimming pool and one of the most affordable laundry around. Train station is walkable, with bus stop within a short walk and surrounded by eateries. Hotel may be a bit dated, thus it does look old school and worn out a bit but overall for the price would gladly return without a heartbeat.

Hotel 81 Tristar was in an excellent location. It was close enough to the city that we could easily travel to attractions but far away enough that we felt like we were surrounded by normal Singaporean people. The staff were friendly and helpful and the pool was a good size and clean.

People complain about this hotel need to understand that it is old, guests eat in their rooms so thus ant will come! Finding another hotel with large rooms and a swimming pool at this price is hard to find! The taxi drivers are very impressed for the value! Have stayed here many times with my young family and will continue to do! Only ENTITLED guests complain!

This is a gorgeous retreat hotel. Pool and ocean side by side with a beautiful buffet breakfast for 2 dollars a couple. Make sure you ask. Staff friendly and helpful in every way. I will come back. Your a street removed so not as noisy. Tons of restaurants and night life. Tours at hotel reasonable and they take care of everything. I’m solo so great place, so beautiful the surroundings.

I stayed here for one day before flying out from Singapore. The location is great with a lot of eating places nearby, fruit and veggies and shopping complex. The small hotel also has a good sized swimming pool and is 20 minutes from the airport. The room is a good size and while it’s fairly basic, it was quiet and comfortable.

Great stay.

Great stay in a nice neighbourhood. Good size rooms, good air condition, lots of restaurants near by, mrt stop near the hotel and very reasonably priced. All the things you need. Had also great service. Fridge in the room was nice and water bottles were provided daily. Only the shower was bit strange but had good pressure and hot water so all good.

Great location for quick access to the local food shops along the roads and the hawker centers at Haig Rd and in the Serai Market. The hotel is a no frills one however it's well maintained and clean for a 3 star hotel.
