Quite place, away from touristy area. Rooms were big, comfortable. Enough to just sleep and shower. There’s a restaurant downstairs for easy food. A bus stop nearby too.

I stayed at the hotel from August 8 to 9 and had a very pleasant experience. The staff were very attentive and welcoming. Mike at the front desk was extremely helpful and professional, and I really appreciated his kindness and assistance throughout my stay. A special thank you to Jess from housekeeping, who kept my room spotless and was always attentive and responsive to my requests. Excellent service from the whole team!

Hotel 81 Changi suited my needs very well. I was passing through Singapore, having a 30 hour layover. My room was not large but was clean and quiet. The hotel is located about 400 metres from a metro station which in turn is about 20 minutes from the airport. The front desk staff were very helpful.

The hotel and room were clean, though very basic and quite small. It's suitable for solo travellers. Several restaurants are nearby, and the MRT station is about a 10-minute walk away. Reception staff were serious but efficient. Not recommended for families.

My mother was the person staying. She said it was a good quality hotel with great staff but it was a little hard to find and the bed was very hard and the only pillow she had was a very flat one.

Spoiled by roaches

The staff were friendly, and the facilities were reasonable... But the room had cockroaches!!! It was not noticeably unclean, but I encountered 3 different cockroaches, including one which crawled up my neck in the night - not a restful experience at all.

Noisy!

NOISY. Aircon was extremely noisy and stopped me sleeping, plus room looked out on to main road - ask for room at the back if this will bother you too. Very conveniently located though.

Hotel 81 Changi is what it is: a budget hotel. Do not expect anything but a place to sleep. The rooms are small but adequate. No issues with the beds or the room service. The bathroom was a bit smelly, but I think that was because of a Crain on the floor. There is a bath and handheld shower. There was no shower curtain, and the main bathroom floor was a wet room floor. They expect "spillage" from the shower, thus the main drain. Good area and good local food all around, including a coffee stall. Good transport links. A bus stop right outside, and MRT is pretty close. I found it pleasant to stay there.

Hotel ok for one night - staff were very helpful and polite. Corridors to rooms had a smell of stale tobacco. Room was well air conditioned-to the point we had to call reception and ask to turn it down as there was no controls in room. It was clean and convenient to several cheap restaurants across the street. No refrigerator but with the A/C didn't need it. About a S$26 taxi ride from Changi -or the MRT (Kembogan? Green line) was one block away to Changi and the city.
