Lovely hotel in Silves

Loved this hotel it was situated in a perfect location overlooking the castle. Fantastic choice of breakfast on the terrace or inside. Room was great, lots of hot water and storage. The swimming pool area was spotless and pool cleaned every morning, lots of sun beds and areas to sit. Small bar with nice staff. Silves is a small beautiful village and this hotel is perfect choice for a 2-3 days. Thoroughly recommended.

Dogs barking at night and moving chairs at midnight in the restaurant area was for the rooms that are located below a nuisance. The building as not double glazed windows which means that during the cold period you will have some cold and dampness. To operate for most of the night the air conditioning as a warmer is not neccessarily what I prefer doing. The Hotel's breakfast is quite OK.

the 3rd bed provided by hotel is terrible, very uncomfortable, too hard. The blanket is thin, not warm, which got me a stomachache at midnight, and vomitted due to the cold. and I waited for long time for checkout since nobody at the front desk. bad service.

I stayed in the single room 411, 1st floor in front of the elevedor and stairway: I heard everything going on in the lobby (checks in/out, bagages' noice, people back from restaurants, etc.); the room has a thin window so I enjoyed the traffic except from 1 to 4am. Though the place is nice, it's noisy. Plus: on the terrace the ash trays are nevers cleaned, the tables are coffee printed and their is no video surveillance (all perimetrical doors open 24/7) and not always someone at the desk around 4 to 6am (when I got out for a smoke), except the white and brown cat. The only good points the hotel: quite charming and a good base for visiting Algarve, choosing going East or Ouest depending on the mood.

It will drive you buggy.

Careful not to book a room on the highway... noise. We changed our room to the side of the hotel facing the castle. The building needs some TLC. There were ants on a table next to the window. Ants in the bathroom sink area. Ants came into the room under the balcony door. Bed bug found. The staff carry bug spray on the housekeeping trollies. The regular day desk clerk, older fellow, is weak in the PR department. The property feels unhealthy, could be yhe bug spray. Breakfast buffet never changed while we were there. We wouldn't recommend this property at the price they charge, and definitely not for more than 1 night.

We had a great welcome when we arrived. The view from our room of the castle was stunning both in the sunshine and when lit at night. Room comfortable, enjoyable swim in the pool and great breakfast. Nothing to fault.

Hotel muito bom em uma cidadezinha simpática e estrategicamente situada no meio do Algarve, a poucos quilômetros de todos os pontos de interesse da região. We had mixed feelings about our stay at this hotel. On one hand it has a beautiful exterior with great views of the town and the castle, the pool area is well maintained, parking is easy to find, AC in the rooms were functioning well, and the staff were responsive to our needs. On the other hand the rooms were outdated and generally look old, I know it's part of the general look of the hotel but small touches here and there would do wonders, also basic things like a mini fridge or an electric kettle were absent. Breakfast was ok, it had all the basics you can expect but definitely nothing to brag about. They were also doing some renovations in the kitchen area so some noises throughout the day are to be expected. Overall I'd recommend this hotel but mainly for where it is, the town is beautiful and quaint and very walkable. The hotel is ok and convenient but having been to many hotels, I'd hesitate to list it as a 3 star hotel.
