The staff was very helpful and the room was clean and maintenance to keep the grounds and building fresh as possible was apparent. The only thing was the daily cost of rooms seemed high. I know costs are higher at this time of year along the north shore, but they did still seem higher than expected.

Beautiful lodge on Lake Superior with easy access to many different hiking trails. Our room had a balcony with wonderful view of the lake. Only critique is that I wish they would improve their continental breakfast.

We have stayed at Cove Point Lodge many times over the past 10 years. Usually we stay in one of the cabins but the prices have increased so much and coming from Canada it's an additional expense. This time we stayed in a room at the lodge, while the room was very spacious, with a sofa and a balcony, it seemed a bit run down. The screen on the patio door was taped up and falling off. The bathroom mirror was filthy and streaked, the paint was chipping off the wall in places. The sink was clogged and drained very slowly. The kureig was in a weird location and difficult to use. There wasn't an iron or ironing board. It was very disappointing to see and wasn't cheap to stay there for 2 nights. Not sure if we'll stay there again unfortunately.

Overall a great stay. We stayed at the lodge on the 3rd floor. Good sized room, amazing view of the lake from the balcony. Breakfast spread was very good. Friendly service in the bar area. Definitely recommend staying here.

Not a very good value for the price. My wife and I did not sleep well due to noisy portable AC unit and overly used mattress (we both sunk into a valley). The breakfast selection was a bit eclectic with pretty much only Scandinavian offerings. Food at the restaurant was good and the lodge and restaurant staff were very good. The amenities (games, puzzles, brochures, etc.) were very nice and the lobby/sitting area was nice with a great wood burning fireplace.
