A very nice stay in Silkeborg. Lovely helpful staff at check-in. Nice and spacious suite 9 in the old building. I wouldn’t choose a room in the main building which has the feeling still of an old hospital in the corridors. The hotel has a very nice garden setting and peaceful location just outside the city centre and close to a beautiful lakeside swimming area. Easy parking onsite. Lovely lounge and bar area with board games for evening relaxing and nice breakfast room with outside over the gardens. Included breakfast was good but only available until 9:30am. Restaurant onsite is ok but expensive. Would stay again and recommend if booking the high tier room type.

We loved having an authentic Danish experience while staying at the hotel. We could have stayed elsewhere in a hotel that was like any other hotel but this hotel has an interesting history. Plus the property is gorgeous! The front desk staff were great!

Location in park like setting very desirable- still very close to center of town. Nearly adjacent to Aqua and Jorn Museum. Grounds just lovely, tranquil. Rooms attractive though small. Hotel restaurant food only sampled at breakfast, but was good. Lovely terrace for breakfast in good weather.

The hotel is extremely beautiful and the grounds offer some breathtaking views. It is definitely a hotel for relaxing and appreciating nature and outdoors. The breakfast is quite nice and the staff was very helpful and kind. Would definitely stay there again.

Brilliant hotel, amazing stafff

Superb hotel, extremely kind and accommodating staff. Loved the breakfast, free bicycle use, beach towels, beautiful garden and walking trails. Dinner was of good quality and reasonable value, especially the wine. The hotel is well positioned relative to the town centre and swimmable Almind Lake.

Överlag ett trevligt hotell i lantlig miljö strax utanför stadskärnan. Fin trädgård. Om du önskar äta i restaurangen bör bord bokas i förväg. Baren har också en meny om du lyckas få sittplats inne, många bord ute om vädret är fint. Gratis parkering finns. God frukost även om det var svårt att få sittplats, fick köa för bord både tidigt och sent under frukostserveringen (som stänger tidigt). Observerade att det är nivåskillnader på våningsplan och i rum även om det finns hiss är det mycket extra trappor. Att komma in huvudentrén är inget alternativ om du har svårt att gå eller är rullstolsburen. Skön säng, en del ljud från korridor men inte så det störde för mycket. Tyvärr riktigt tidig utcheckning, borde senareläggas till 11 eller 12 som är mer standard numera
