Situated on the western border of India and a less commonly known side of the Himalayas as compared to those of Nepal, Sikkim has a wide array of landscapes and astounding untouched views. The hike, while slightly challenging for a novice like me, still provided for an amazing experience of a lifetime. While they are not chanting for prayers, which we found takes 4-5 hours in afternoon, monks in red relax in picturesque surroundings of the Rumtek monastery. #redphotosweepstakes #red
