We stayed for 2 nights with my husband at Smaragdi Hotel. The staff was kind and very helpful. The room was spacious, clean with a large terrace where we were able to watch the sunset. We highly recommend this place !

This hotel is a little gem in Artemonas on Sifno island. The rooms are quirky but spacious. The amenities are lovely, it has everything you could need. It’s right at the top of the square and public parking is right next door. The owner and staff are exceptionally friend and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast options were wonderful. Thank you for a fantastic stay. 10/10

We had a fantastic stay and would happily return. The staff were absolutely amazing—so friendly, welcoming and informal, which created a really relaxed atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was exceptional, probably the best we’ve ever had at a hotel. Everything was made with high-quality ingredients, and the coffee was excellent too. The setting is beautiful, and as cat lovers we really enjoyed seeing the many friendly cats around the property, which added to its charm. The only small downside was that the room could have been a little cleaner. However, this was a minor issue and certainly didn’t take away from what was otherwise an amazing experience. Overall, a wonderful hotel with outstanding hospitality, fantastic food and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Excellent hotel in a great location. Our brilliant host, Antonis, was helpful and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfasts were outstanding. Located close to the bus terminal, you have all of Sifnos at your doorstep. Would definitely stay again if in Sifnos. Highly recommended!

This is a great hotel. Perfectly located near the bus stop in front of the plaza leading into the beautiful walking alleys of Artemonas. The staff are beyond friendly and helpful. The room and the common areas / gardens are very nice. Amazing coffee and breakfast too. Stay here!

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was lovely and had a comfortable bed and a great shower. Everything was very clean. We had our own seating area outside with a small pool to sit in, which was great to come back to after a long walk. Smaragdi is in Artemonas, away from the coast and right next to the main town of Apollonia. Both towns were lovely to have a wander through and there were enough restaurant nearby, although some were just opening up in May. You can walk to Apollonia in about 15 minutes. There is a lovely path through both towns and I would recommend using that as opposed to walking down the road, which we did the first time. There was a map of the area at the bus stop, showing a variety of short walks too. We choose a longer one that we found on Alltrails. The staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks to everyone there for a great stay. Breakfast, which we had included, was fantastic and very substantial. Highly recommend.

A Flawless Stay Thanks to Exceptional Hospitality! Our recent stay was nothing short of perfect, largely thanks to the incredible owner, Antonis, who is truly amazing. From the moment we arrived, Antonis was incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel right at home. His dedication to guest satisfaction is evident in every detail. The a la carte breakfast was a highlight each morning – absolutely amazing with a wonderful variety of delicious options. Our room was lovely, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a perfect sanctuary after a day of exploring. The hotel also boasts amazing areas to hang out, offering inviting spaces to relax and socialize. Beyond Antonis, all the staff were amazing, providing attentive and friendly service throughout our stay. The location is excellent, conveniently situated right by a bus stop, making it incredibly easy to get around. We experienced a truly flawless stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an exceptional experience.

Perfect sport and perfect staff!

I knew Café Smaragdi from my previous stays in Sifnos as I was used to buy coffee thee in the morning before hitting Sifnos trails. I always appreciated the friendliness of their staff, especially Antonis and Yorgo, who always made me feel welcomed. So, this year, I decided to stay at Hotel Smaragdi and I’m very happy with my choice. Rooms are very nice and clean with good beds and quality toiletries. As always staff is very friendly and always available if you need help. Breakfast is super nice as next to a croissant, orange juice and warm drink, you can pick up one meal of your choice from the breakfast menu. Personally, I loved the acai bowl! Hotel is located in Artemonas just next to the main bus station of Sifnos, which makes it very convenient to move around the island. I loved my stay at Smaragdi Hotel and highly recommend it to anyone!

I loved my stay at Smaragdi and Andonis made it extra special with his recommendations. I loved hearing the kids play on the small square in front of the hotel, the atmosphere at Artemonas at night is really vibrant. The hotel location was very convenient because it is right next to the bus stop and because it is easy to hike to Kastro and walk to Apollonia. Would definitely come back.

Beautiful Hotel

I really enjoyed my stay, the owner was so kind and friendly, the staff in the attached restaurant and around the property were friendly and helpful too. The room was beautiful, calm and sleek. The balcony had a view of sunset, and this was also the first Greek hotel I’ve stayed in that already had an iron in the room!
The bed isn’t made because I undid it all, it was not like this when I arrived!

Love it and want to come back!

This was the best place we stayed during our month long trip to Greece. We loved the staff and the breakfast! The coffee was also excellent and the location was perfect for exploring the island by foot, bus, and car…. All of which we did during our multi-day stay.

Stunning hotel with exceptional service!

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful village! The location of the hotel is perfect - regular buses to everywhere on Sifnos are right on its doorstep, and Artemonas itself is utterly charming. Hotel owner, Antonis is relaxed, warm-hearted & friendly & has imbued his staff with the same attitude - they are efficient, considerate, polite & professional. Our hotel room was lovely & cleaned regularly. Would come back here in a heartbeat. They couldn’t do enough for us in every way. An absolute highlight of our trip. Couldn’t recommend it more highly!

Les chambres sont conformes aux photos : modernes, très propres, le ménage est bien fait au quotidien. N’hésitez pas à prendre une chambre avec piscine; ça vaut le coup lors de la pause en après-midi! L’hôtel est bien situé à Artemonas. Un plus : les autobus sont accessibles à distance de marche.
