Friendly & warm welcome the staff were fab. Lovely room spotlessly clean & comfy beds. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. Great location for exploring Shrewsbury will definitely return.
Stayed here before Shrewsbury half marathon. Initially quite noisy but settled down by the time we were trying to sleep and overall was pretty comfortable.
Unfortunately breakfast doesn't start until 9 on the weekend which was too late for us to have before the half which was disappointing. Would be nice to have an earlier option if possible even if it's just a continental option.

Very good stay, excellent location, breakfast was amazing and food very good and reasonably priced.
Nothing to complain about.
Overnight parking is easy in the multi story. Cute hotel, very friendly staff and wasnt too loud considering was right next to a busy road and a bar.
Would stay again
A short walk from the train station which we liked. The room was on the ground floor which was nice as we didn’t have to carry our luggage up several flights of stairs.

Excellent staff. Accommodation a bit tired but did the job.
Room was on the ground floor which suited me. Very clean, Beautiful bathroom. Bedroom was a bit small with only one pouffe to sit on. Overall enjoyed our stay. Staff were very helpful. Would definitely stay there again
Room was compact but clean and nicely presented - great ground floor option for anyone with mobility issues. Lovely breakfast. Staff super friendly and helpful when there was an issue with our room.
Really enjoyed stay here , our room was small but beds were comfortable. A lovely home cooked breakfast with a good choice .
Pizza was lovely too in the evening. Friendly helpful staff .
I particularly liked the fact that there was refillable soap and body wash in the bathroom instead of the wasteful miniature plastic bottles used in so many hotels .
Handy location for everything in Shrewsbury
Would happily stay here again.
Great position in Central Shrewsbury, parking was across the road, Staff was amazing and the breakfast in the morning was lovely but the carpet had quite a few stains and there were lots of light bulbs that were not working, but apart from that i would stay there again.

Ok stay
Staff amazing but twice I've stayed in the bottom floor room next to the beer garden and it's noisy in the evening and can hear the bar chucking glass in the bins.
Not to mention anyone in the beer garden can see into the room if curtains are not shut.
TV didn't work at all.

The property is right on the main road , the room was on ground floor level and people were walking past the window shouting , the road noise was excessive , The room was clean and tidy very basic . It reflected the price I paid as budget accommodation .
I just found it to be convenient as short notice for me to close to the centre of Shrewsbury .
I would not need to use it again , and would not
My brother & I decided to stay a 2nd night in Shrewsbury at short notice having stayed in the Premier Inn 200 yards down the road on the Thursday night. Premier Inn wanted £133 for the Friday night stay. Found The Alb on hotels.com which was half the price with added bonus with breakfast included. It was a budget twin room which perfectly suited our needs. Room was lovely & really warm ( unlike Premier Inn where i slept fully clothed under the duvet as the room was so cold ). Loads of tea & coffee sachets for our use. Room also had a mini fridge which was a nice surprise. Room was nice & clean. I had a full english breakfast which was superb. I would definitely check this place 1st next time we visit Shrewsbury. I would recommend it based on my experience.
