Really great staff throughout and a really good breakfast. The main areas of the hotel look new and modern and clean. The room was ok but the carpet had not been hoovered as there was dirt and bits of stuff and there were a few broken bits in the bathroom. Overall a nice stay and did the job at the right price.

The room was clean and quiet and had AC. Staff were very friendly. There was plenty of parking. The staff were happy to extend my checkout. I enjoyed the use of the leisure facilities. My only negative was no refrigerator in the room. Not that this was part of the room. It would be a great addition.

Pool was nice and they let the kids have inflatables. Nice outdoors seating. Most of the staff were great and made you feel welcome. They were great with kids and made them feel important. Food is nice enough, added bonus as children eat free from the kids menu.

Whilst the actual hotel was lovely, I have marked it down a star due to being requested to pay for my meal at time of ordering. As a hotel guest I would have expected to pay either at the end or had it added to my room. This also took away the chance to order puddings or additional drinks as I didn’t want to pay each time I had something. I asked the guests around me if they had to pay up front and was told no, so I guess I just look like a dodgy customer, just me and my 9 year old daughter. Not impressed

Excellent stay at the IHG Sheppterton. It was a great location and the hotel itself, staff and amenities were great. Perfect for families and they have a kids area which my kids throughly enjoyed. Good size swimming pool and everything was clean. Food was delicious and grest value - kids eat free. Will definitely be returning.

I was here for a sewing retreat weekend. The hotel and especially the staff was excellent - the food in particular as I am a coeliac so cannot eat gluten, but the range and volume of GF foods amazing!
