Smoke alarm was in a bag still connected. Hotel room was clean and bathroom. If wanting to sleep in stay on the second floor. Only because the sidewalk is busy in the front and your windows on the first floor is right on the sidewalk. Very nice hotel and clean.

The room was very comfortable and clean. The beds were very nice and felt like they were fairly new. The hotel was in the downtown part of the small city area and was very walkable to everything. There was a continental breakfast and work out room and the parking felt safe. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If we were in the area again, we would seek out this hotel again.

Nice small-town hotel

This place is a gem. I stay at a lot of hotels, and this place in a tiny town in Iowa was surprisingly great. Very basic but clean rooms, plus a grab and go breakfast.

Driving down the Main Street of Shenandoah, you wouldn’t have realized there was a modern hotel in the century old buildings. I wasn’t impressed with the LED night light built into the hair dryer. Made it very hard to sleep. I was impressed with the breakfast, cleanliness and safety.

Relaxing after hard day’s work

I room temperature was comfortable the beds and pillows were great. The shower was refreshing. It was very quiet at night and loved the all day coffee access.

We came to town to visit our uncle in an assisted living facility and decided to spend the night. We stayed at this hotel and had a great experience. The front staff on check in and check out were both super friendly and helpful. The room was super clean and inviting, the bed was very comfortable! We will definitely stay there again next time we visit Shenandoah. 😊
