The room was awesome for my needs. Property manager was great and very friendly. The property is clean and secluded making it feel safer and free from traffic noise. The restaurants nearby were great.

Breakfast was not an option. The temperature in the room was good day and night. The room was clean the facility outside was kept nice as well. The bed was not comfortable, but others may find them good. Brooke at the front desk was friendly and helpful.

My stay.

It's basically a furnished one bedroom apartment. It's away from the highway so its very low noise. About the only complaint I have is the puny coffee maker :) Denise was very easy to work with. Check-in was a breeze. Wifi was great. While not an issue, the kitchen does not have any pots and pans. Just something to remember.

Great Stay

This was our second stay at Affordable Suites in Shelby and we have truly enjoyed both stays. The manager, Denise, is a very kind and professional person. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The hotel is quiet and relaxing. There’s many restaurants nearby and grocery stores are a very short drive. Thank you, Denise.

A great choice

Affordable Suites is a great choice for a long-term stay. The manager takes care of guests. Quiet, safe, close to grocery and some restaurants. Uptown Shelby is close by.

Room was cleaner than rooms I’ve stayed in at places that are much more expensive. Yes, it is an older property with carpet stains and few amenities. But it was quiet and clean, near the uptown area, and management is pleasant and always helpful. I would stay here again.

The price of this place is amazing and therefore a very good value. There were a few cleaning issues that we noticed, but overall the room was clean. We did have an issue with someone smoking in one of the rooms next to us one night and because the rooms are set up as basically central air situation and not the individual room heating and cooling units that normal hotels have, the smoke from that room came in to our room through the vents. Overall this place was great. Nice friendly staff and nice exterior premises in a good quiet area. We would definitely stay again.

Very clean & comfortable.

This is not a 5 star property so don’t expect a hot breakfast, pool, or spa but…. The property is well kept, quiet, the rooms are very clean, and Denise (the manager) will go out of her way to accommodate you, including loaning you a skillet, egg turner, coffee mug, and paper plates so that you can fix breakfast in your room.

Great for longer stays in Shelby

Quiet, clean, safe, close to restaurants, grocery and a Walmart. Laundry on site. Full size fridge, real kitchen sink, 4 burner range with oven. Dining table with 2 chairs. Bring your own cookware and dishes. It’s perfect for longer stays when eating in is preferred.

I had the opportunity to stay with Denise and her staff for 13 weeks. Everyone was friendly, eager to offer anything that would make my stay as pleasant as possible. The rooms are well kept, the staff is friendly, the area is well lighted and monitored. I was greeted every week by my first name and sent off each week with well wishes for a safe return. Thank you to Denise, CJ and all her staff for making my time with you all feel like I was welcomed and safe.
