A small hotel with really friendly owners. Recommended for those who want a comfortable, quiet, well managed stay. Within easy reach of the beach. Parking is limited but there is additional free parking in in surrounding streets.

Rosemary and David were excellent hosts. I have stayed in many hotels over the years in Shanklin and this was right up there. Both Rosemary and David were happy to have a chat. The breakfast was excellent and I thoroughly recommend this as a great place to stay

Westbury is not a hotel in the traditional sense of the word but is none the worse for it. Helpful owners who have extensive knowledge of the area, a fantastic breakfast and of course is dog-friendly. Worth noting it is out of town a bit so a car is a good idea, but there are plenty of good pubs and restaurants within easy reach. Would definitely recommend.

Very spacious, we had 2 armchairs in our room but there was a lounge and conservatory to use. The breakfast menu had a big choice. The garden was good to sit in with plenty of seating and you could help yourself to beverages and biscuits in the lounge. David and Rosemary are so nice and also Josie who helps them. Highly recommended.

Fabulous room with all those little details missed by so many hotels and guest houses, all present. Fabulous breakfast with quality ingredients from local butchers and bakers cooked to perfection. Lovely couple that ran it too. If I had to find one complaint it would be that we couldn’t stay there any longer. This is a fantastic place to stay and I would highly recommend.

Rosemary and David are the perfect hosts. Friendly, caring and they pay attention to the details. Our room was clean and comfortable with all the amenities that we needed. David and Rosemary were over the top hosts. The property has extensive extras not seen elsewhere that add value to our experience and highly recommend this property. They offered excellent made to order breakfast, best on this South England trip. If we were in area, we would definitely stay at this property again.

We had a wonderful stay at Westbury Lodge. David and Rosemary made us feel welcome with their communications even before we arrived. Booking a hotel in the Isle of Wight was a mammoth task due to the number of places available, but I'm so glad i chose this lovely B&B. The larger hotels nearby were overrun with tourist buses. Westbury Lodge was cozy and personal. Room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, huge bathroom with a walk in shower. They even supplied a non-slip floor mat for use in the shower. David's breakfasts were wonderful. Rosemary went out of her way to give us info on the events in the area, suggested walks and eating places. Highly recommend Westbury Lodge to anyone visiting the area!

Westbury Lodge was an absolute saviour for us and our pup after having to leave two prior properties due to various issues. Rosemary and David were so welcoming upon our late arrival and chatted with us for a bit before taking us to our room. David even took our luggage up to the room for us when we arrived. The breakfast was amazing and thoughtful. The lounge and conservatory were both cozy and welcoming, and although it was a short stay, we enjoyed our time in those common areas on our last day. The bedroom was spacious, comfortable, and spotless, and the furniture had the lovely B&B feel. The property was a very short walk to the beach and was everything we wanted and needed. Thank you Rosemary and David for a perfect place to call home after a very rough few days.

I stay in a lot of hotels travelling for work, This place is the cleanest accomodation I have ever had. Asoloutley faultless and being in engineering I pick up on the smallest of details. Breakfasts were fantastic too. The only place I would reccomend to stay on the Island

The room was just what we wanted, with two twin beds. The wi-fi worked easily, and the bathroom was very up-scale. The lounge felt welcoming, which expanded the size of our living space. We loved the breakfast, which was both professionally put together and personalized. We felt welcomed by the hosts, who gave us excellent directions and suggestions. A very pleasant stay!

Relaxing and refreshing stay

My wife and I enjoyed a very relaxing 3 nights at the B&B over the bank holiday weekend. Dave and Kath were brilliant - a warm welcome, gave us all the local knowledge and provided a great cooked breakfast each morning. We stayed in a superior room which was bright and spacious. The B&B is close to the beach and the coastal paths - ideal for walks and enjoying the countryside. A great place to escape to from busy London life!

We were greeted by our friendly hosts who were excited to be welcoming guests after lockdown. Lovely furnished, spacious, safely prepared room. The breakfast menu is 5 star and wish we had been staying longer to try all it offered.

Lovely hotel, Rosemary and David perfect hosts. Beautiful large room, everything you could want. Comfortable and clean, COVID compliant. Parking, free wi-fi. Breakfast was very good, cooked to order, plenty of choice. Easy walk to nearby restaurants and beach. Excellent stay and would recommend.

Highly recommended.

Excellent guest house. Would highly recommend. Rosemary and David are great hosts. Very comfortable rooms, clean and well decorated. Breakfast menu cooked to perfection every morning. Central quiet location. Downhill walk to the beach, uphill to return!! Lots of restaurant choices within easy walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

From arriving to the moment we left the Owners made us feel most welcome. The B&B is perfectly located to the beach, shops, train station, costal path walks and of course travelling around the island. It’s very comfortable and clean with a great selection for breakfast using local produce. Highly recommend the Westbury Lodge Hotel and I most certainly would return.
